we had a couple of problems,the safe was not fixed & had to be screwed back down & we were locked out of our room by the internal wooden bolt.these problems were fixed immediately with a smile

Booked a room cos of the reviews i read but was disappointed.
1)Water pressure is super low and it seems that all rooms are like that. But at least I hope they can improve on that
2)Aircon temperature is not consistent. It gets warm and gets cold regularly. Thats part of the reason as the room is small
3)mozzies. But i guess its too be expected due to the vegetation of the hotel.
But there are some good points which I like which was the breakfast being brought to your room every morning. Think its something most boutique hotels must learn to have.

Small garden paradise in Ao Nang

Me and my friends stayed in this lovely hotel for 6 nights in February 2012. It was just what we looked for! Very quiet place but still close to the main street and 10 minutes walk from the beach. We stayed in bungalow and get 2 rooms next to each other with the shared veranda. It was very special and nice to have outdoor shower and the toilet in beautiful garden. Don't be surprised to be disturbed by plenty of mosquitoes. There is a mosquito net above the bed. Personal was always smiley and polite. The best choice is to have breakfast in the small cute terrace above the swimming pool with the gorgeous cliff view. There was our friends B-day and the girls from reception organized cake and the flower necklace for both of them. Just wonderful experience. Can recommend this hotel to all travelers!!!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The beach in Ao Nang is not the best one, but take a shuttle boat to get to Poda Island only 20 minutes away from Ao Nang. That is the gorgeous place to swim and relax.

charming hotel, very comfortable, friendly people, great location.

the pool in this hotel is so great i never wanted to get out of the water. the only downside to this hotel is that you need to walk 15 minuted to get to the ocean, but we remedied this by renting a motor scooter.

Beautiful and intimate hotel

I could not have been happier with my stay at The Cliff Ao Nang Resort.
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff and a very refreshing class of iced tea.
Throughout our whole stay, the staff were very helpful and polite.
The only downside was the size of the room. They are very small and it is very hard to feel as though you have any privacy. If you open any curtains in the room, you are opening your whole room to other guests. This made the rooms dark and seem smaller.
The pool was beautiful and the cocktails during happy hour is something that my partner and I definitely took advantage of.

the hotel ambience is the only good point. if you are looking for solace, it is one of the best within the walking distance of the shopping area and the aonag beach.
apart from that rest of the things doesn't really worth money.
1> rooms are very small and dark
2> service is good, but only during the daytime. you will not get any hotel staff after evening
3> they charge for everything while checking out, even if they say it is complementary (!!)

Character in the heart of town

the location is right smack at the beach location - with shops, good thai food, massage offers. most of the tours to the nearby islands also originate in the area. hence, the convenience is there. for a small hotel, it keeps its character - charming, rustic. one interesting feature is the outdoor bath area which still retains its privacy. it is not a top notch hotel with full facilities but will certainly pass well for service with a smile and character.

We really liked this hotel,they have a good standard of service. The rooms are like little bungalows in the garden,very well looked after. You have to order your breakfast the night before,no buffet,which we weren't really keen on.The cleaners wake u up early as they start sweeping up the garden. Nice beds

If u r planning to stay right on the beach this is not the perfect place as u have to walk for 15 mins

Just loved this beautiful quiet hidden jem, staff were fabulous,outdoor bathroom beautiful, breakfast lovely and fresh,pool clean, and views gorgeous from the pool.
The room isnt that big but who cares, the end room was great very private. We loved the location far enough from the crowds close enough for a walk to everything.
Stunning gardens too.
