everything...

just hope the price would decrease.. but if not, I don't mind. It was worth it!

From the minute I arrived at this hotel, I fall in love ever since. How couldn't I fall in love, this hotel is everything that I ever dreamed of.. homey and cozy environment, check! small but luxury, check! never getting bored of hotel food, check! open air bathroom which still get privacy, check! the amazing beach, check! still need internet and don't want to bring laptop, check! they have internet. forgot to bring books, they have library instead, just pick one! they have dvd player and they have collections to choose. for me who came alone, I didn't feel alone or lonely at all! everyone was nice, from staff to other guest. if u bored, just go to hong island by long tail boat which is very closed instead of going from ao nang. this is just perfect to me! ooh.. and I got a surprise present from the hotel manager. she gaves me really nice souvenir so I can remember them, she said. how can you resist the kindness? every minute I stayed there, I feel like really living! no wonder their slogan is "a week.. a life"

- Architecture and lush surroundings - Personalised service

The location is a bit further out and taxi into Krabi or Ao Nang can be rather costly. There is a shuttle service to Ao Nang but it only runs once a day.

As per the previous reviews, the hotel is set in an absolutely stunning backdrop. I would highly recommend heading to the spa for an outdoor massage.Very relaxing! Also, do not miss out on having a cocktail while the sun sets - absolutely beautiful. On most days, the sun sets around 6-7pm and the best view is by the koi pond beside the restaurant. The service at this hotel is absolutely superb. The staff is always very polite and at hand if you have any special requests. Imagine..the staff waited by the longtail boat with cold towels when we got back from one of our excursions - and that was not even by special request! It is pretty hard to put the experience into words. You have definately got to try it for yourself! Let's just say that I would definately be heading back for another dose of pampering!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Both the 4 Islands tour and Phi Phi islands tour was fantastic.Swimming with the fishes and corals was quite an experience! Highly recommend it! The Hong islands tour was a bit of a disappointment - there was hardly any fishes and there was quite a lot of jellyfish close to the beach

The setting was breathtaking, the staff were amazing.

I really can't think of anything. Like most resorts it's a little expensive, so don't stay if you ain't cashed up.

The Tubkaak Resort was incredible and my only regret was that I was only there for 2 days. The rooms were beautiful - flat screen TV, sunken, outdoor bathtub, massive, comfy beds and the pool was lovely but the main attraction is the beach. The views of the sea and the distant islands almost blew my retinas out. I had a book but I couldn't read it as I was too busy marveling at the scenery. And the beanbags they give you to lie on are so comfortable I doubt I can go back to towels and deckchairs!

Small hotel with very nice beach and sunset views. Great service and spa.

The standard rooms are nice but not spectacular. Check-in was somewhat slow and could have been better prepared.

About a 45 minute drive from Krabi airport for which I would recommend the reasonable hotel transfer option. Check-in should be more efficient especially when potentially coming from a long international flight. If money is not an issue I recommend one of the few rooms with sea and sunset view. There is also a spectacular private residence with two bedrooms and its own pool on one side of the property.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Careful with taking the kayak to the islands which appear to be close. It takes an hour each way and can be exhausting, esp. if the weather is windy. I recommend a private speed boat rental from a nearby agency for as little as $300 for the entire day. The boat can take up to 10 people and when telling the captain to avoid the typical tourist run you will be able to enjoy beautiful sights in sometimes complete privacy.

Everything you need is there in high quality and at reasonable cost.

If staying for a week or more you need to think about excursions which are best booked with independent agencies rather than the hotel itself.

The hotel shares the beach with a few other hotels but appears to be the nicest one of the lot. A new one is opening a bit further down the beach which looks like it might become an interesting alternative. Despite several sources citing difficulties with young children, this is not the case. It is true that it caters mostly to honeymooners and couples but is also fun for children of all ages although they might not always be appreciated by other quests looking for 100% transquility.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take the free bikes and head into town for a nice ride but avoid the mid day heat.

Good beach, quiet location, great staff and good rooms.

Maybe isolated for some but the villages are a 10 minute drive away.

A tranquil paradise that really is on the beach, and not a beach full of bars and stalls, etc.

Restaurant Tip : you can eat at the hotel (recommended) or in the quiet villages nearby.

Very welcomed. Treated us like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble. Considered my special needs - I am disabled.

The Tubkaak Resort was everything that we were expecting and more. The situation is ideal for a quiet break and the staff are very customer-focused. It is a 5 star hotel in a very understated way - not flashy but we felt thoroughly cossetted and special without the unnecessary glitz that one finds in other 5 star hotels. A true paradise. Long to return.

Lovely location, gorgeous views and beach, but most of all a lovely hotel. Well its acutally lots of separate houses, with a lovely pool, library, restaurant and bars. Great breakfast. Oh and the bathroom and out door bath/jacuzzi was brilliant.

Honest cant think of a single on- it was perfect.

Great Hotel, set apart from the local town, but not hours to travel to it. As i said above, all ofd the facilities were lovely, but it was the little details. The beach bag all packed up for you with fresh towels and a orchid in it, the first round of drinks in your mini bar being free, 100's of DVD to choose from at reception to watch on your in room flat screen tv, house keeping popping in and out (when you arent there!) 2/3 times to check your room is in order, free internet in the Library and free Kayaking at the beach. And the bean bags on the beach were very comfy! And they give you a cold drink on arrival and a gift (a lovely ceramic elephant candle holder ) when you leave. All of it was just perfect

Hotel Feature Tip : Take advantage of the books in the library that you can swap out for free, so dont take lots of books! they are just ones that others have left behind and there is a good choice!

amazing decoration (black wood and white walls) a shower and a tub outside in the nature delicious food beautiful see view

bungalows a bit too close from each other.

the Tubkaak boutique resort is a very sophisticated place to stay. the staff members pay very much attention to every details so that your stay goes smoothly and stressless. the amazing decoration in the rooms helps you feeling at home and in a quiet recovery environment. the resort offers sport activities, but the see view on this side s so beautiful that staying on the beach with a book is also a perfect option.

Restaurant Tip : the lobster is delicious there

While the sea off of the Tubkaak is lovely, the best water - the clear blue kind from photos - is around Phi Phi Island and other islands. Longtail boats and speed boats can be hired (arranged by the front desk) to reach some of the island destinations. Also - beware, when you arrive you might here a loud screeching sound that sounds like a metal saw cutting into stone -but it is actually the cicadas in the trees! They are mainly on the road side (in the mountain across from the hotel) - and are mainly audible in the day. But they blend in fairly well and become hardly noticeable. When you first get there though you might think there is a construction site nearby...but never fear, there isn't.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We did two excursions - the day snorkelling trip to Phi Phi Island and the longtail boat from the beach to Hong Islands. Seeing the waters of Phi Phi was definitely worth it, but in high season just be aware it will be packed with other boats and tourists. Hong Islands were not only close to Tubkaak but beautiful and worth the visit. There are some nice white sand beach coves on the right (north) side of the island, one of which can be explored by boat. The white crescent beach on the front of the island is also beautiful and less crowded than Phi Phi. We hired a sea kayak and went around the island. What a blast! We brought our snorkeling gear and stopped to swim along the way. Just one note: bring your own water and food to Hong Island as there is nothing available. And be aware too, the current/waves on the side of the island facing Tubkaak can get pretty rough - so make a judgement on that and pre-arrange the long-tail boat driver to pick up up if you see that making that final turn back to the beach will be too rough.

Overall a lovely experience. The beach is fantastic and we had a lovely time. If staying longer, there are options to go to outlying islands, including even Phi Phi.

The first is to go to Krabi, TAPUKE was good to hear from friends. In fact, we will enjoy life better for the hotel staff to stay and explore. I was also more abundant activities, it is also easy to understand guide.
