Big tree and good atmosphere but room isn't modern

Good place for rest, we like big tree and wide area for our child could run around. But breakfast was not good because there were not many guest just 10 persons, then the kitchen prepare food not much and taste was so simple. It is too expensive for this level of hotel (two and half to three star).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
You should go to ride the cart with horse in evening. Go to shopping at Central plaza.

This place is right alongside the river and some 10 km from the horrid snarling mess that is Lampang. It all looks a bit forlorn and faded but service is good and the basic essentials of bed, shower and aircon work well. Breakfast is quite good but their a la carte thai food is expensive and rubbish.

Best hotel in Lampang but a bit too old room.

The hotel is really nice, for me it's the best in Lampang. In my room there was a not in a nice frame stated that the former PM had stayed in this room before.
The decoration is nice in traditional northern Thai style but it's a bit too old.
There's a huge mistake happened, no tab water those 2 days that I stayed. The weather is quite cold but no hot water supply, maybe because of lack of tab water that made the geyser doesn't work properly. Once the tap water works, it’s not a clean water anymore, it’s kind of mud instead. Such a nightmare for me.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Spa and assage is quite ok and not so expensive. I took my road bike with, I can ride my own bike to the temple around and the small vilage near by. Overall distance is about 20 kms.
The hotel also provide the bike for you, but I still prefer my own road bike.

As hotels in Lampang was limited, I was hoping this was to be the best. The room was no well design, the name says Rive Lodge but no rooms was has river view, the worst part was the water were either yellow or pure muddy, we decided not to shower and brushed our teeth with bottle water. The food was bad! They need LOTS of IMPROVEMENT.

Our favourite place in Lampang, a little dated decor and facilities, but the tropical gardens and location near the river make it a perfect place. Note: it is out of town (10 mins by car max), you need transportation.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Must see: Saturday/Sunday walking street in Lampang, some of the old houses in Lampang. The hotel is difficult to rate, it is really the atmosphere, breakfast on the river the hanging bridge, etc.
