The hotel is a bit away from city center but if you aren't a backpacker and can spend more than 10 bucks a night and want a pool this should be your choice for a one day excursion to see the monkey temple. The breakfast was not great and the dining area is really in need of updating. There are monkey statues all over the property that lend a really kitschy vibe and makes you think the hotel was once the play to stay at in like 1975.

This is not a cheap Thai hotel so we were amazed by the poor value for money.
On arriving after a long road trip, we were met with surly staff who were unkempt and looked dirty. The lift was filthy and in disrepair and the room was no better. A notice cellotaped to the cheap furniture displayed a price list for breaking or staining various facilities in the room which was a joke. For example, it would have been impossible for a 'new' cigarette burn in the carpet to be identified!!!
Breakfast was of poor quality and despite being displayed in Bain Maries was stone cold.

hard to find any ... maybe a swimming pool?

swimming pool is not clean, everything is far away, hotel taxi is very expensive and it is difficult to find any other on streets around. Wi-Fi only paid.

Room itself was dirty, blanket was dirty, bathroom even more dirty with smelly water on tab...
The swimming pool water is cloudy, full of dead insects
The breakfast restaurant is just a joke and if you want to experience something really extrem.. Try the toilet of this restaurant!!!

loved the place ,quiet, huge rooms,monkey statues of all sorts,nice pool, not perfect finishing in the rooms,or the resort, but close enough.whaddya expect for thailand for cheap???value for rooms was wow, for shuttle to old town was crazy expensive, we didn`t know this going in.about 10 km out of old town.
Hotel Feature Tip:
old town was pretty dirty, monkeys around ruins,were amazing to see, but wouldn`t want to stay there.Maybe find a place 1-2 km from old town is best.

Amazing place for the monkey lover

A really interesting accommodation with statues of monkeys everywhere, and I do mean everywhere. Large and small and huge,in every imaginable costume and pose. Almost a theme park in itself. Although busy with group tours we heard no sound of anyone else even though we were opposite the pool and restaurant.
