very over priced for a good view

The room was reasonable with a good view of the Mekong river and Laos, the service was the worst by far of any hotel i have stayed in Thailand in the last 6 years, give it miss, there are many other very good value hotels in Mukdahan, being completely ignored when seated for a meal and the beer being left on the table by the waitress unopened was the final straw, breakfast starts at 9am and nothing was available before that time, we quickly moved onto another hotel less than 500m along from this one.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
you can see the river long before you get to this hotel so the view is free.

Be carefel selecting a room. Unless a room with riverview cost seems high
rooms do not have facilities for hot drinks
cost is high given the location and comparative cost of hotels in other parts of thailand
there are other hotels in Mukdahan at 3-400 but back from river but only less than 5mins walk to market and river

Very nice Thai-style hotel beside the Mekong

we stayed here in late december and were given a wonderful first-floor room overlooking the river, with a large safe balcony where we could see the friendship bridge in the north and watch the river traffic between mukdahan and savanakhet. it was particularly nice in the evening and at night when the lights along the river come on. this is a lare, older thai style building, right beside the river and opposite a large wat (temple) - a set of steps beside the hotel leads to the river edge, where the monks say prayers in the morning and evening.
the staff were very nice, although few spoke much english. our room was very spacious and spotlessly clean and the decor, although somewhat dated, was in very good condition. the whole hotel is quite large and very relaxing. the thai food in the restaurant - on a large balcony over the river - was excellent. breakfast wasn't included, but our ham, eggs and toast were nicely done. the free wifi worked well in the lounge and in the restaurant.
Shopping Tip:
you can along the watefront street or pathway to the edge of the indochine market and town centre in a few minutes. most of the items on sale are thai or "made in china". there is a very wide variety of goods and produce (including exotic fruit and spices) even compared to major markets in bangkok

staircase to rooms was very difficult (very high steps, no elevator)
shower in bathroom was somewere in the middle so it was swimming in the whole bathroom.
owners wre friendly and good food in the restaurant at the river.
Travel tip:
Visit the market at Mukdahan and see the tempel "Wat Yod Keaw Siwichai".

部屋からの眺めがすばらしい
ホテルは掃除が行き届いていている。メコン川に面していて、部屋からの景色がよい。インドシナ市場へも徒歩5分。

・こじんまりしたホテルで、部屋は簡素だが、掃除が行き届いている。バスルーム、トイレの使い勝手はあまり良くない。
・ホテルの下には、レストランがある。ここもメコン川に面していて、料理もおいしく、川からの気持ちよい風に吹かれながら食事できる。
・ホテルのチェックアウトしてから、部屋の箪笥にシャツを2枚忘れた事に気づいて
翌日ホテルに電話したら、EMSで自宅まで送ってくれた。
・レセフションには子供が座ってゲームをしていることが多く、ホテルのスタッフはあまり愛想が良くない。
Shopping Tip:
徒歩5分圏内にインドシナ市場があって、いつも買物客でにぎわっている。ここには隣国ラオスから入った中国製の怪しい製品が並んでいる。安かったのでチョコレートをたくさん買ったが、まずくて捨ててしまった。

แต่อาหารอร่อย ไม่รวมในค่าห้องพักต้องจ่ายค่าอาหารต่างหาก ความสะอาดพอใช้ได้เท่านั้น
