Located on the banks of the Mekong River, is this hotel selected by the Tourism Authority of Thailand as one of fifty majestic hotels in unseen paradise. The temples are a must visit when is this area, and the most famous is the Wat That Phanom, which is about 50 kilometers from the city center. A stay here could also be just a stopover before venturing into Vietnam or Laos. Being the business and tourist hub of the northeast, the hotel caters to both kinds of travelers. The hotel includes convention facilities, and also a Thai massage. The on-site restaurant, Kamlaithong serves Indochinese dishes, and the Lobby Bar could be the perfect place for a nightcap.

a very lovely setting. the area overall is not too congested.

only to say that the surrounding area is not fully developed but, that is not necessarily a flaw. the river is low in April but that is nature, not the hotel. it is a real zesty taste of Isaarn that one gets here.

the staff were all very friendly. the service was excellent. food was good and the rooms were clean. there was always someone around to help with language...and most of the girls spoke at least some English. overall a great stay, and good value.

The hotel is situated in a great location, next to a quiet part of the Mekhong River. Buffet breakfast was tasty and full of choices.

The bath tub in the standard room was narrow and shallow.

This is THE hotel to stay in Nakorn Panom. I agree with the 3-star rating. In addition to what I mentioned in the Pros and Cons sections, I should say that my friend and I enjoyed having a cup of coffee outside in the breeze very much. The place can get very hot in the summer, so the best time to go is probably during winter months. The hotel staff was very courteous, but I cannot tell whether they could speak English or not.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Call the hotel staff to arrange for a car with a driver in advance. This is usually cheaper than doing this yourself after you get there.

Excellent place, great views.

Breakfast was not for my taste, cold egg bacon,.!

My wife lost a gold ring in the room last night, it was not discovered until we got home to Chonburi. I called the River View Hotel, which had my phone number, and they should examine the room. Next morning they call and said that the ring is found, it is stored in the safe until the next visit, in my desire.
