location is good but service is fair

room is rather old.toilet is leaked and bad smell.maekhong river view is ok.internet is out of ordered ,and no response from staffs although give complain.

excellent hotel with beautiful view of the river and laos. hotel seems to be booked for business functions and tour groups, as the lobby and entertainment areas were very busy. probably a 5 star hotel when it was new, but is still well maintained. good choice of well preparded food at breakfast buffet. hotel on the outskirts of town, but a 5 minute ride on one of their complimentary bicycles to temples and downtown.

The location is great with wonderful views of the river and Laos. The rooms are very old.. the furniture, the fixtures, the carpet.. everything. No room safe. The morning breakfast was edible but nothing special.

Morning sunrise is spectacular.

second time at this hotel this month and feel quite at home here. staff are excellent both in front of house and in housekeeping department. included breakfast is varied for all tastes and comprehensive. location is just outside of town right overlooking the river as you would expect with views across to laos. singers every night in bars. sadly rooms are showing signs of wear but not enough to detract from experience.

nice hotel from the outside but poor quality rooms greatly in need of redecoration- probably on lower levels. our room was on the ground floor it was smelly, had mould on the wall paper and had a dirty carpet on closer inspection. the bedding felt damp and the hand spray in the bathroom was leaking. my parents also stayed in the hotel but were on a higher floor and it was a superior room which was bigger and didnt have any issues with smell or damp, so i would ask for a higher up room.the restaurant was mainly empty when we were there although it was the buisiest month of the year. the food was however excellent and the menu was vast with over 100 items. the breakfast was buffet style and again of good choice to cater for western and thai cultures.the live music in the restuarant at night was too loud and normally conflicting with the other live act in the foyer just 20 metres away. had an argument with reception staff on checking out the hotel after being accussed of drinking 2 sprite cans which were missing from the minibar. there were infact 4 fanta cans which hadnt been touched during the stay.should of been 2 sprite and 2 fanta according to the minibar list.obviously the room service maid had made a mistake when filling previously.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Ask for a higher floor room and go for a superior room.

nice looking hotel within the vicinity. great view of the mekong river overlooking laos on the opposite bank.
good place to relax, if you want some peace away from the hustle & bustle from busy bangkok.
one bad thing, the magazine in the room is 6 years old.

This hotel is too old, and not have a clean room, you will smell of dust in the hotel even you change new room, all the same thing. blanket so dirty and smell.
Swimming pool not working, they didn't have a light on night for pool, and water too dirty.
Food not good even breakfast.

The road belong kong river is very nice, town so beutifull and silent
