Breakfast buffet & good coffee & friendly staff Confusing way in for new guests When checking in, our room was upgraded to a junior suite. We have 3 people, so an extra bed was added. My friend who slept in that bed was surprised by its coziness. We really liked the suite, its decoration, the space and everything overall. Though the down sides for us were that we could have an ocean view only from the toilet room and the bathtub was not in a separated bathroom but just behind the king-sized bed. The bathtub should be really sexy for guests that come with their couples. I should try that suite again next time with my husband.

EVERYTHING!!! location, food, room, service, EVERYTHING! hmm...i cant really think of anything! this place was AMAZING! we stayed on the 16th floor in the ocean tower (which you HAVE to request. BEST room ive EVER been in) as soon as we entered, we were greeted with the usual (cold towels, fresh flowers, welcome drink) but when we got INTO our room...omg...our breathes were taken away. the room was SO BEAUTIFUL in fact, i dream our room in our future house to be built as an exact replica. all the little attention to detail was quite impressive. everything was so modern and state of the art. the housekeeping was phenomenal and the honeymoon set up was absolutely gorgeous. the best were HUGE and so plush. the sheets were gorgeous and not your typical hotel looking bedware. the rain shower head was amazing and the tub was absolutely stunning. they even poured the water with bubbles and laid out fresh red rose petals as a honeymoon surprise for us. it was absolutely amazing. i cant say enough good things about this hotel. this hotel alone saved my honeymoon. the pools are beautiful of course and the swim up pool was so much fun. the ocean tower's pool is a bit colder in temperature because there is a lot of sun blockage but it feels like youre swimming in fresh drinking water. no chlorine smell, no oily film floating on the water's surface and no dead bugs floating around. the garden suite's pool is a bit more crowded because its directly in the sun and they have beautiful cabanas set up along the side. for 900 baht you can get a fully body massage which my husband loved. to sum it up, i LOVED THIS HOTEL!! oh yea, and the food at the mantra? OMG....everything was so delicious and you have to try their bbq buffet on fridays. they give you a plate of 3 lobsters, 3 mussels, and 2 HUGE prawns.
Nightlife Tip : go to the front of the hotel, take a baht bus (just pull one over cuz if you get on one thats stopped already, they charge tremedously more.) take the baht buss all the way through the one way street till the end where you'll see a huge sign that says "walking street". the ride should only cost you about 10 baht per person. there is a plethora of clubs, bars.

Great hotel room;

Wonderful view of the bay and city Hmmm, I would say the prices on food and drink were a bit steep. I expect a premium price but I do not expect to pay USD 10 for a drink in the bar so that put me off a bit. I have stayed at the Amari Ocean tower about five times since it opened a few years ago and I always enjoy myself. The room is very comfortable - the shower, the tub, the bed, the work desk and of course the great view.

My wife and I stayed in a Deluxe Garden view room. It was ok, typical Amari standard but the place has been there for quite a while so is a bit run-down. Big plus was that it was mostly business people and couples so you are away from danger zones in pattaya.
Breakfast was also typical Amari so was quite good.
Staff were friendly, but when the fellow that we took down there asked for the wireless internet they handed him a telephone cable. He never did get connected but it was a short stay so didn't matter. Still- they should have known what he wanted; especially when he showed the Amari login page to them on his laptop.

a bit older, needs facelift This is a review of basic room that we reserved, as used by a friend of ours that we recently took to see Pattaya.
The rooms are basic, rather quiet and with no particular view of much. Generally they are ok, but not very 'fancy' so you are paying the extra $30 above the rooms in hotels near this one for the grounds and the breakfast.
It was ok.

Nice grounds. relaxing pool areas, plenty sun loungers good service around pool areas. Good food and restaurants. Room was a bit small and dark and bed a bit hard. No lift had to use stairs to upper floors. We stayed in a superior room in the garden wing which i was a bit disappointed the bed was a bit too hard and it was small, dark and no balcony. There are plenty sun loungers and its very relaxing around the lap pool.Would stay again but upgrade room. Really good poolside bbq, with drinks in with the price. Its a little pricey to eat but food is good. Good location just cross the road to the beach or jump on a baht bus to walking street flat rate of 10 baht per person.
Hotel Feature Tip : I reccomend the poolside bbq.
Get breakfast works out alot cheaper cost us £24 for 2 breakfasts.

nice pool & greenery & new tower with very modern look garden view rooms are very old, very bad service, My friends and I stayed in Amari over the weekend and were surprised by the under-service we received. Amari hotel in pattaya has lower quality compared to other amari hotels ive stayed in. Apart from the old garden wing rooms, the service was horrible. The staff are not trained well. No one greeted us at the reception. Reception ladies didn't have good attitude and weren't friendly. When we asked which direction is our room, the reception lady says just follow the signs. We were shocked. Other than that, the maids were talking loudly outside our room for 2 days in a row, and didn't greet us when we walk by. This is not the standard I expect from Amari. But apart from that, the pool is great.

Nice grounds. Wonderful swimming pools. Excellent buffet breakfast, though the cheese selection could have been greater than one kind. Clean and spacious rooms. Balconies for rooms inthe Tower section. Mantra Restauant one of the best in Pattaya. Improve the training of the wait staff in the breakfast buffet restaurant though I admit I was there on a busy weekend. I night a little better lighting in the garden area. This is the second time I've stayed in the Arami Tower and have enjoyed the stay. The price value is excellent and the hotel is conveniently located on the Pattaya Main Beach Road. Most areas are withinwalking distances or tuk-tuk ride. The hotel is well maintained and clean, good water pressure and air-conditioning. The staff could certainly smile a bit more and as noted, training for the wait staff in the breakfast buffet room. The Mantra Restaurant is a must visit and if you want good drinks and fast western food then Beams is the place to go. Arami has several stand-alone restaurants. I will definitely go back.
Restaurant Tip : Again, Mantra for Asian Fusion cuisine. Also Toscana Italian is just down the street and though pricey, worth the visit. If a nice evening, sit outside.

The Ocean Tower has very spacious rooms. The food at the coffee shop is excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the service is superb. The air-conditioning in both our rooms didn't seem to work properly. The cocktail by the pool side needs to be improved. Everytime we come to Pattaya, we choose to stay at the Amari Orchid because we like the old-charm of the low-rise Garden Wing, which is the part of the old Orchid Hotel that's been renovated and therefore has lots of trees and a homely feel that we love. However, this time we were upgraded to the Ocean Tower on our first night, and find the rooms there very specious.
Unfortunately for us, though, there was a big group of people on their company outing, who had their outdoor activities (think sports and a very loud cheering squad) right on the hotel lawn next to the swimming pool, which spoiled the peaceful ambience. While grateful for our upgrade on the first night, on the second night we had to pack our things and move back to the Garden Wing, which was a bit of a hassle for us, but a welcome move as we prefer the quite charm of this old wing. The staff are helpful and friendly as always. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Pattaya.
Travel tip : The lady who rents out the beach chairs in front of the hotel gives a mean massage! We recommend anyone to try it.

The swimming pools are just fantastic, for adults (and kids who swim) there is almost an olympic size pool and in addition there is another gentle pool with bar in it, food great. Mantra restaurant prob best in pattaya,, hotel away from the bars and riff raf!! but if you want that its 4 mins on taxi,,, 1000bht charge for guests,, back entrance round pool though!!!Staff great :) Room service food is not the best, but a sandwhich is good.
Cant think of any other "cons" to be honest.. Very good location,, you can get away from the bars etc etc etc, but be close enough for a night out.
The staff are great,, spotless hotel,, Tower wing is by far better than Garden wing,, although thats basic but clean,, the tower is modern and they often do deals where you get upgrade to tower anyway. Its woth the extra i assure you.
I stayed in the Dusit, The Marriot and on both occasions i left early and booked the Amari Tower,, those 2 are dated, very expensive and staff are not the best trained.
This is actually the best in Pattaya.
The Manager here is English, and obviously on the ball,, his staff from all areas are attending to every detail..
A great place to stay.
Restaurant Tip : Mantra at hotel great,,, pricey, so its a treat, On beach road and Italian trattoria is good, PIC kitchen for Thai very good (near old hospital)
The Beach Bar and Grill opened only 16th oct 2009, new, clean, cheap, fresh, no bar girls, good simple fresh food, next to central road on the beach road, 100 yards past the Gullivers beach bar.

handy location, great swimming pool, excellent breakfast a real 5 star experience complete with cold towels and fruit delivered to you at the swimming pool. 2 large swimming pools (the kids ones quite a distance from the deeper one which is nice if you like quiet). hotel is extremely well appointed.
Restaurant Tip : the sunday buffet at the Mantra restaurant is excellent

This Hotel is situated in an ideal position being away from busy end ie walking street and in a position where you can walk out and still get to that area within 5 minutes.Also you can walk out the tower side and be on the beach,if you dont want the beach which can get busy at times they have got two large pools one with a swim up pool bar and not deep plus there is much more larger and deeper pool for the more stronger swimmers.Good service around the pool towels there at side security always around and plenty of sun beds. Some of the bar staff could have a better customer relations and some of the special offers could be a little bit more correct in the way the offer is put over. When arriving at this hotel we were very impressed in the look of the lobby,we were happy with the way that we were met and dealt with by the staff,within five minutes of arriving and a welcome drink we were shown to our room followed by our cases.The veiw from our balcony over looking the garden was out of this world with well kept gardens and a garden seating area,beyond that were two swimming pools which were well staffed and clean.The hotel was in a ideal area with shops an easy distance Baht bus arrive away which there is a lot of so getting around is not a problem.
Restaurant Tip : Try some of the local food and dont be afraid to try anything as you will be surprised at some of the taste and the food is not that expensive to try. The amount of resturant top quality that are around is quiet remarkable but you need to look away from the beach.
