Excellent room, very nice staff, impressive surroundings
Wireless internet is expensive here, it's a little way to the centre but that's a good thing because you are a little way from the noise. Ideally you want a car although it's pretty easy to jump on the back of a taxi for about £1.50 a go. Food is good here although expect to pay 5 star prices, you are very well catered for within the hotel however be prepared to pay for the extras.
Amari Royal Orchid is probably one of the best venues in and around Pattaya. If you are prepared to pay for the luxuries you can have a great room, excellent service and are spoilt for choice when it comes to food. We had a great view, a bath in the bedroom, 42" plasma TV, DVD player and our room was immaculate. The staff here are great, very polite although don't expect all Thai people to have great English! The only thing I didn't like was having pay £10 per day for internet access which seemed a bit excessive given how much I was paying for food and drinks, phone calls etc. Overall one of the best hotels I've stayed in and our room was fantastic value for money.

Clean and large modern rooms, nice breakfast spread, spacious surroundings.
Looks more like a commercial building than a resort.
Good for business travelers. I have stayed here about 5 times already and it's worth the price. The breakfast spread is good and there is ample room to move about from the rooms, to the lobby to the poolside. I will definitely stay here again if the budget permits.

Except the service level, everything is very nice at the hotel. there a two swimming pools,
a lot of palm trees and from the facilities it offers it is a five star hotel. Service level
of staff i would rate as 3star. you will enjoy

very nice hotel, clean rooms
The hotel is very nice and the rooms are very good. Amari must work on its service. It took them nearly two hours to deliver the suitcases upon arrival and at breakfast staff only have limited understanding of english language. front desk is also not very helpful.
As the hotel is very nice, just do not expect
a high service level
Travel tip : For business stay in the tower, if you on vacation and like the nature, then stay in the old building and not new tower

Retail shop staff should not be handing out business cards immediately upon my check in. In this case the tailor shop.
I have been visiting Pattaya several times a year for the past 21 years. This was my first stay at the Amari Orchid. I was very pleased with the hotel in general, especially the front desk personnel and the room cleaning staff. The location is one of the best in Pattaya once guests understand the traffic flows around the property.

Very nice hotel, located in best part of north pattaya. Personal is very friendly.
This hotel is a real AMARI hotel: very high standard, best location, beautiful design, 2 big swimming pools, friendly personal. The location is perfect: clean and nice area in north pattaya. close to BIG-C Shopping center. You can get to walking street with Tuk-tuk for only 10 Baht in a few minutes.
Shopping Tip : BIG-C is close to hotel, on Pattaya road 2.

The only good thing was a very few staff were helpful or courteous and salt water big pool.
Very small rooms, Substandard fitness room, bathrooms looks ancient, water flows out of the showers floods the bathroom floor, each and every item in the Breakfast was same for all the 3 days that I stayed, to use steam room one has to pay for a massage which is 2k THB + 600 for steam for 30 Minutes (well in my stay that was the only 5star standard which is the cost of steam, slow cleaning, TV in room is probably 10 years old, I was expecting a good 5 star standard but guys this is just a average boutique hotel with a very good pool but I will never pay so much just for a pool.
Guys this is a hotel for old travellers who just need a clean room or for travellers who travel with their wallets in their hand, Au$100 to use steam for 30 minutes is a joke. The Garden wing is old with very small rooms. Hotel was full of Russians and thats what the staff want to service any other they don't even want to look at. I strictly do not recommend the hotel.

Above all the service was fantastic. The reception staff were very quick and efficient and all staff dealt with us with smiles and kindness. The location was excellent in that it was at the quieter end of the beach with some restaurants, but to get to the main eating walkway, it was a long walk or bus ride. The pool was very nice: we laid there for 6 hours and the staff there as well were very attentive. I really liked that the hotel gave choices of different areas ( pool and grass)to set up the bathing chairs. Overall, I can see why it is so highly rated and I my wife and I would choose it again.
Restaurant Tip : For seafood, go to the walking street area. There is greater choice, but go early if you want lobster or red snapper because it seems to be sold out early(we went at 830 PM).

The staff were very friendly and good.
The Deluxe Ocean Room for us didn't give us an ocean view, but a hotel view under construction, and it had no bath tab.

fantastic view to sit out at night, wine and dine on the sofa till dawn.
parking space is restricted
A good value for money with exceptional outdoor facilities. Situated in a good location with easy access to Pattaya attractions yet very private and exclusive. A little slow with the reception service, checking in/out, but the staffs are kind and polite. Will have a lot of problem finding a parking space at night if return late. The room is neat, clean and comfortable.
Definitely worth a visit again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Within walking distance to the "Tiffany Show" and real easy to get to the "Heathland".

Close to beach and donwtown. Friendly staff and tidy room.
There was no lift at old building and internet access was minimum 500B/day.
We stayed in old buliding with 3 floors in ner year and it looked like much differnt from new tower buliding, but the staff were very friendly, and the room was a bit small though, it was enough for us and tidy and very comfortable. Open space, garden and swing pool, were also clean and beautiful.

The tower part of the hotel is a very nice renovated building
The garden suites are not renovated and do not feel like a 4 or 5 star accommodation.
The Hotel is a great chain of hotels and it seems that they must have a very good managment team because they are very consistent. They have very good security and the staff are very nice. The location is favorable as it is located very close to all conveniences however it is not intrusively in the middle of the dirtier area. The hotel is fine. The price of the accommodation has increased quickly over the years and I just wish that they would give regular customers a little bit more of a break.

The only good thing to mention was the front desk (SHE) assistant manager. We had a lot of problems about the room , the facilities, but she was so calmed and helpful, thank you again.

The photos in the web site was not update, and we have been putting in a small and old room. Even upgrade to deluxe room, but then the DVD player, and standing lamp were broken. A lot of mosquitoes,
the room is not clean enough...after the maid clean our room we still see the snack on the floor. My husband and i were staying in a double bed room, but only one bathrobe and one sleeper. What i can say is, I don't feel like i am staying at a 4 stars hotel!!
Restaurant Tip : we walked out from the hotel , about 10 mins walking we had our dinner at Discovery Beach Restaurant, the staffs there were really kind, food was great and really cheap, good for a big group, and live music was great too.
