A great stay in this hotel, no problems at all. This hotel is in a great location and the rooms are clean, never made it to breakfast so can not comment on food. I paid a little more for this hotel but it was woth the money, lots of space to relax and start the evening. All attractions on hand, no noise at night.
Travel tip:
All attractions at hand, good clean safe hotel, i will book here again.

The only problem I had was these silly switches you put your room key in to turn everything on, but when I left the room I had to charge my phone, computer, and camera. I wanted an extra key card to leave in the room to keep the electricity and air condition on, the desk clerk wouldn't give me one, but I spoke to the night manager and he gave me one. Also unless you like to walk, I recommend you stay in the Areca building #1, because if they put you in the Evergreen building its a long walk to the street each time you come and go to your room.

the areca lodge in pattaya is a good,clean and friendly hotel.
there are two large swimming pools,gymnasium and free wifi.
the rooms are clean and spacious which are cleaned every day.
the breakfast has plenty of choice from cereal,fruits to cooked meats bacon/sausage ,croissants and an array of thai food.all in all a very plesant place to stay

Quite good overall, construction work next door

This hotel is in a narrow road (Soi) with many party bars so perhaps not ideal for a family. It has three buildings and each room type is different so best check closely what you will get. Stayed in the pool view room which is in the older building but rooms quite nice still and in some ways better than in some of the room types in the newer building and cheaper, only a very small upgrade charge from standard room for the pool view room so well worth it, as the standard room looks the other way directly into another hotel building only about 8 meters away and darker. Beware, there is a very large construction site next door which will awake you with foundation pile impact noise (very loud) anytime from 7.30am onwards it seems at present (late Dec 2012) and the work is really only just starting for what looks like will be a very large condominium complex with multiple buildings. The construction is due to finish in 2015 so maybe noisy at times until then but beyond the hotels control. Overall would recommend a stay here despite the noise at times. Has two pools which look great. This hotel looks popular with older International couples.

i really like it at areca..it is not brand new but the service is great everything is clean...pools, rooms, lobby and it never seems busy or chaotic there...like a sanctuary in pattaya

Areca lodge is set in a great location. The area around Areca has lots to offer including good restaurants, shopping and entertainment. There are shopping malls close by. Walking street is about a 5-10 minute walk away.

Excellent Happy Service
Quiet, Nice Breakfast Setting

From the moment I stepped from Taxi, Happy helpful staff. Check-in easy. Room large with all I needed, surprisingly quiet, considering right in middle of busy Bar area.Love the Beer Garden out front.

well this is a little gem, some would say over priced well you get what you pay for, nice grounds, slap bang in the heart of everything, had a fab time, met some lovely people and all round had a ball.
