I have just returned the basaya hotel formely known as the centera and this is my 5th visit this year and i have found things very much the same although there are some improvements taking place and maybe that is why prices now have increased but it was just a matter of time when this was going to happen so i may unfortunately have to look elswhere,but having said that it is still a good hotel to stay

price right thats about all,location good the price was good thats all we can say!! the rooms are bad !! beds are hard, hard. location, ok. staff not so good, no english spoken.had to get a room upgade so we could sleep, cost was 500 bht extra. the standard rooms were very bad. overall were not satisfied with your stay at this hotel.

great location but hotel very dated

checked on agoda and saw some nice reviews but really as a seasoned traveller this is one of the worst hotel i have stayed in thailand. room was musty and smelled terrible so we uopgraded for an extra 500 baht and the room was a little better but not much. the property value is worth more than this hotel. great retro 60's look !!!
anyhow for the same price there are many more rooms available so don't be fooled like i was.

First room was old and full of mold!
Location - very close to Beach Road, but quite apart from building work in progress.

I refused to stay in the first room that they showed me, because it really was full of mould. Had i not paid in advance, i would have looked for another hotel. However, the second room was ok - old but spacious. The swimming pool is lovely, but having work done to the surrounding areas. The Breakfast was quite good. Iv'e lived/travelled in Thailand for 6 years, so i know that i can get a much better deal for the money, but just for 2 nights this hotel is ok.
Nightlife Tip:
This hotel is very close to the beach. Be very careful re the ladies walking along the beach road area at night.

It was really a fantastic experience staying in the hotel I will also advice my customers to stay there as i am a Travel agent. The hotel is surrounded by a vast area with swimming pool and bars and resturants and beautiful garden. A perfect place to spend the holiday, what else to say?

Hotel locate at center Pattaya road, with reasonable price, and acceptable hotel features.
Right in front of the beach if you like sunshine,with it own swimming pool for you to choice. Staffs are nice and helpful. And the breakfast quality is acceptable. so not complain with the very reasonable price. But be aware that some rooms are under renovation at the time upon my check out.
