The Sunbeam Hotel was a delightful place to stay. The staff was courteous, friendly and professional. They attended to your every need without hesitation. Room service, both for food as well as, the housekeeping staff, was excellent. The amenities on the grounds to include the pool bar and the gym were well maintained. I would easily recommend this hotel for it's proximity to so many local attractions.

Book online for the stay and then buy the package for wireless internet when you check in.

Nice clean modern rooms, close in.
Location was great. Area was seedy but convienient to core of Pattaya. Staff was helpful but on back shift not very strong.

I needed to print documents in the "24hour" Business center and was unable to do so because there was no cartridge in the printer. This carried over to the next day when the IT manager copied my documents onto a Thumb drive and printed from his lap top! I was horrified!
I was told their entire IT infrastructure was in-flux and it would be better soon... do to time zone change I had to do much of my coms during the night, the lack of support is why I checked out and went to another hotel. 24hour fitness center and pool are only open 12hours!

We checked in to the hotel in the afternoon and the staff was great. The breakfast was good and saved us money instead of going out and trying to find something open in the morning. The many malls were only a few minutes walk.
Shopping Tip:
Anything you wish to buy... shop around and barter for the lower price and then shop around somemore and barter more. There are a lot of street venders and they are just trying to get as much money as they can. After you do shop around and you do get a good price, make sure you shake hands to finalize the deal. This makes it final and it also makes the seller feel that it was a good deal. Another thing that might be helpful it to go to the malls and window shop there, then go out on the street venders with the store prices to start your bartering.
Night Life tip.
Soi 6 to Soi 8 has a lot of beer bars, you can have a lot of fun if you find a place that you like and go back to the same place a few times. Walking street can take you about 2 weeks to visit most of the bars there. I would say there are over 1000 bars in Pattaya. If you're into AGoGo's then I would recommend Walking Street. There are a few good AGoGo's around Soi 6 to Soi 8 and also some throughout Pattaya.

I cannot complain much about some of the things they are improving on. They only had 1 elevator operating at the time, but two more are in the works. It was some what noisy, but that's expected around that location. The internet is free in the lobby area, however if you want wi-fi be ready to pay up. Fees are not that bad, cosidering you are probably not going to spend all that time in hotel while you stay in Pattaya.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Better to pay internet by the hour rather than day.

this was my 3rd time to pattaya, first time at this hotel, and not the last. the hotel is great, perfect location located right between the two main roads, so whichever direction you wanted Togo was very easy to get there. the staff was great also, no problems like I've at other hotels in Thailand. the room was very clean and plenty of room. the bed could be a little softer but other then that it was a perfect stay.
Nightlife Tip:
walking street is a must to see

Good location with parking in the heart of Pattaya

With a bit of effort this could be a good hotel. The rooms need upgrading, better lighting and proper mattresses. It would also be nice to have a chair and a table for the balcony - a simple point perhaps, but one that has not been addressed. The hotel has good restaurant facilities and a generous lobby area. Staff were pretty good, but the uniforms were not very impressive. A reasonable choice for those who will not be spending much time at the hotel during their stay in Pattaya.
Restaurant Tip:
The Pig & Whistle pub is almost next door and serves good English and Thai food at reasonable prices.

It sounds contradictory to like a hotel for it's town centre location and then moan about the noise. We like a good drink and can normally nod off before the music finishes about 2.30-3am but one beer bar outside the hotel decided to have a Karaoke until about 4.30am and it was horrendous. The staff did what they could including us moving room. They say they called the police but there was no evidence of this. All in all a good hotel and value for money (if booked through agoda)
