Staff in general was unfriendly and rude. Rooms were big and ok as well as clean. Breakfast was below average.
Travel tip:
If you like to stay in a crowded area close to the beachroad, thats ok. 15 minutes walk from walking street. Hotel is not loud though.

Right in the hear of the action - Soi 8 - makes eastiny a good hotel for the beach, shopping - central plaza is walkable - and nightlife. If it wasn't for the location, you may be disappointed with room size and in my case, view of nothing quite low to the ground, but doubtlessly cost relates to position in Pattaya

Eastiny is a fairly old hotel rough around the edges. It does however have everything you need, just at a basic level. It also has a good location in the middle of everything.

Highly recommend. I enjoyed my stay very much and looking forward to my next trip sometime in July 2013 . The only downside is that the Internet service was very unreliable during my stay.
Nightlife Tip:
The hotel is pretty much centrally located for a perfect night or day life.

Clean rooms, excellent room service and restaurant, large pool, nice poolside bar. Television channels very poor selection. Only 3 or 4 English channels too many Thai channels does not accommodate for non Thai speaking guests for television viewing. Hotel location is excellent for night life and local restaurants, currency exchanges mini mart attached to hotel.
