Great Value!
Close to all the action and only a few blocks from the beach.

This hotel is nice with a decent free breakfast buffet. It is close to all the nightlife and within easy walking distance to "Walking street" and the beach, shopping etc. There are lots of cheap truck/cabs, you hop in the back. But be sure to get a business card from the hotel as it is hard to find in the dark. Don't expect the cab drivers to know where it is based on the name. There are five eastany hotels here and one or more are very close. Keep the address with you! Best to have it in Thai also. Hotel was clean and very decent but the rooms do vary. A month ago I got a nicer room on the fifth floor. This time I was on the 3rd floor and it was OK but older. This hotel is a real bargain for the money!
Nightlife Tip:
There is lots of nightlife very close!

Fair Value For The Money

This is a worn but clean Hotel. Food at breakfast was OK. When in Thailand I like Thai food and a Thai lady with breakfast. The hotel use to be a star for the the gentleman traveler on a budget. If you don't mind the snotty english ladies with their husbands at breakfast with their nose in the air good to breakfast. Better yet go 50 meters toward the water on the left to Anytime Cafe and have breakfast there, after 9:00 am.
Nightlife Tip:
Current long time price for go go is 600 bar fine and 1000 to 1500 bath for long time. March 2010, the economy has taken a hit here also. At the beer bars you can do better. Treat the Thai people with respect and you will receive the same. Som num na

The Eastany is located on a very narrow one-way street with no sidewalks, so be careful when you walk! I signed up for their least expensive room thinking they had Internet but was told I had to walk down the street to Internet Café and pay 1 baht per minute. They didn’t tell me until much later one that there was WiFi in the rooms upstairs! So I immediately upgraded my room so I could use my laptop for Internet.
Warning: there is no room safe. I left most my money at the desk safe and it was a good thing. Any guests who visit a resident must leave ID with the clerk who I assumed would call the resident when the guest left. Wrong. I lost my mney and camera and asked the night clerk why he didn’t call me when my guest left. I couldn’t understand his answer in Thai but basically he said I didn’t ask him to!

The hotel was great, for the price the room was good, clean and comfortable. The balcony overlooked the pool which was nice to look out onto with a morning coffee. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room had a tv, fridge, kettle a bath and a shower and was good value for money. Outside it was noisy but that is to be expected as you are in the thick of it. If you are going to Pattaya for the night life then you do not need to stray far from the hotel. There is even a 24 hour shop just outside the front door. I would definatley stay there again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The beach is only seconds away from the hotel.

we couldn't get a good night sleep, because the noise from outside the hotel. there were plenty of loud music until dawn.
it was pretty convinient to find food around the area because there were lots of street hawkers. the supermarket down stairs was very cheap. but overall it was pretty good.

Soi 8

This hotel is right in the middle of the action on Soi 8. This street is lined with bars and lots of entertainment. Around the block on Soi 7 are also a lot of Bars and on Soi 9 there is a new mall. In the Mall on Soi 9 is a food court where the prices are very reasonable. The next time I visit Pattaya I will eat all my meals at this food court. The average meal would cost you less than $4.00 US or 150 baht. The hotel itself was a very good value. The pool and lobby were very nice. A breakfast was included and was decent. The room itself was a little older decor but fine for the money. The staff was friendly and I was not concerned about any honesty issues. There were safety deposit boxes at the front desk if needed. No problem bringing guests back to the room. The worker at the desk will check guests ID which is a good idea for you and your guest. I will stay at this hotel on my next visit to Pattaya.
Nightlife Tip:
Lots of action on Soi 8. Only a 5 min ride on Baht bus to Walking Street.

Perfect budget hotel with decent rooms adequate breakfast, nice pool and seconds away from all the bar action. Close to everything including the beach. While not upscale well worth the cost. Recommend if you are not a hotel snob.

Use hotel spa, worth the price in gold.
