Comfortable room, with an excellent bath
8
The room that I was in was spacious, quiet and comfortable. It is quite close to a number of beer bars, but in the room that I was in the double glazing kept out almost al of the noise. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The best thing about my room was the amazing bathroom. It is huge, with a separate shower and bath. The walk-in shower is an entire corner of the large room curtained off, without an actual cubicle. The bath is a large round tub, with water that cascades down the side rather than coming out of a tap. Both have ample high pressure hot water, and are comfortably large enough for two or more. Hell, you could get a small sports team in there!
There are a couple of minor downsides. The television is an elderly tube job, and quite small at that, rather than a modern flat screen. It is in reasonable condition, though, and perfectly serviceable. This didn't bother me in the slightest, and honestly does anyone really sit in their hotel room in Pattaya watching TV?! The room safe is a bit small - too small for me to fit my laptop into it. For me this was the biggest problem, but it is a surmountable one.

The Hotels location is excellent, being situated near many bars and restaurants but also right next door to Villa Supermarket and being an ex-pat Brit I loved that they stocked Branston Pickle! Mikes shopping mall and the new Irish pub 'Dicey Rileys' only minutes away.
Whilst the bathtub was very elegant it's design made lying down and enjoying a good "soak" awkward as I slid down rather uncomfortably.
In this day and age and in a hotel that claims "boutique' status free wifi in rooms should be provided. To charge for internet access in the lobby is just plain greedy.
The double sliding doors to the small balcony/smoking area are an excellent idea. I had no disturbance from the bar beers in the adjacent soi.
The buffet breakfast is only adequate.
Nightlife Tip:
Close to bar beers and more upmarket pubs such as Linekers sports bar and Dicey Rileys Irish pub. A short walk down to beach road gives access to baht buses to get to Walking Street.

great value
Good Location, very spacious rooms.
9.7
I selected the Tim Boutique based on it's location for a course I was attending, and the favourable reviews in Agoda.com and I wasn't disappointed. Very good location in a quiet Soi with courteous, friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean, spacious and very well appointed for the price. Laundry was quick and not very expensive. Great selection for breakfast. All in all I thought the hotel was great value for money and I would definately stay there again when I next visit Pattaya.

Wonderful Hotel
Friendly staff, great pool and good room service. Great internet. You have to pay for the wireless but it is worth it. It is 350 baht for 24 hours. I was there for 8 days and did not use all of my internet time.

Hotel Feature Tip:
Breakfast coupon. Can be used for other meals if not used for breakfast. I did not know that until the last day.

Great Hotel
Perfect location and great staff

This hotel is in a great location with easy access to the beach and a short stroll to walking street. A fruit market is also only about 1 block away.
Staff are friendly and rooms are clean and not too small.
Only bad point would be the smallish TV compare to some of the other hotels. However this isnt really an issue.
Shopping Tip:
fresh fruit market is close by

Tim Boutique Hotel
Friendly staff, good location. Walking distance to Central Festival Shopping Centre.
7.3
The hotel is located in Soi 14 which we had a little difficulty in finding. But the location is quite good as it was near the Central Festival Shopping, just 10 mins walk. The hotel also has a swimming pool. The room is cosy and there is a big bath tub in the toilet. However, there wasnt any bath foam provided. There wasnt any beverage (coffee/tea) and kettle for boiling water. Friendly staff. Breakfast variety was reasonable.

Tim Hotel--a solid choice
Location. Friendly staff. Good buffet breakfast. Nice pool on the roof.

Stayed at Tim Feb. 2010. Have stayed here in the past and while it is a bit pricey for what you get I like the combination of location and helpful service. Located on Soi 14/Second Road the hotel is near the beach (5 minute walk) and central to all the nitelife. Windows appear double-glazed ensuring you will have a reasonably quiet stay even though there are many bars and much amplified music around. The staff is always eager to please and the recently revamped breakfast buffet is quite enjoyable.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Pool on the roof is a good size and has an always staffed bar at one end---very enjoyable.

Great hotel
Location was outstanding.

Had a great stay here. Nice big rooms. Very clean. Pool on the roof gives a nice view of the city. Had no problems checking in or out. Location is great, right off 2nd road. Just a short walk to many great bars, restaurants and shops. Just a 10 baht tuk tuk to walking street. I will definitely stay here again.
Restaurant Tip:
Walk to 2nd road from the hotel, take a right, walk for 2 minutes and you will find a great breakfast buffet for only 110 baht.
