Proximity to beach and shopping areas. Variety of food for breakfast. The Mercure Hotel in Pattaya is a very nice 3 star hotel. The location is just right - far enough away from busy night life but close enough if it is required. The staff were very helpful to arrange day trips for clients and the swimming pool was excellent.
All in all a good hotel.

Far enough away from hectic nightlife but close enough if it is required. Variety of food offered for breakfast. The Mercure Pattaya is a very nice hotel that caters for many different types of holidaymakers.
They offer a free ride to shopping and beach areas and their swimming pool matches the very best ones in the area.
The service from the staff was very good and they were very obliging to help you as needed.

This hotel is very comfortable and value for money. No extra charge for extra guest if you booked as 2 person in one room.
Generally Recommended.
Shopping Tip : The Avenue(@nd Beach road), which is a new shopping complex is very close to this hotel.
Very nice for quick Western style breakfast.

This hotel is good for young people if they love shopping because it is close to the shopping area. They also have rooms for family visitors to stay.
Shopping Tip : A 24 hrs Villa Market (supermarket) and a small cafe inside the market is very close to the hotel. You can shop and eat 24 hrs. Very new and nice plaza. Must go to the Street Market (near beach) to feel the night of Pattaya.

When you're in Pattaya you won't find the same kind of taxi you see in Bangkok, how they work is they all have a set route and each ride would cost you 10 baht per person per ride. However if you ask the driver they will normally overcharge you 100 baht for the same trip.
Nightlife Tip : The town is full of nightlife everywhere you go, no tip needed just walk around and you will be lost in the night life.

Great Customer service. Always felt welcomed by friendly staff.
Large pool. Better value for money elsewhere.
Shower low pressure, with warm rather than hot water. This hotel is a good option if you require a large pool and don't mind being a little distance from the Beach, which is about an 8 minutes walk from hotel. Night life is also about a 10 minutes walk from hotel.
There are better options in Pattaya for individual, couples, or family travelers.
Agoda, again offers most competitive rates for this hotel.

Reasonable hotel - no major complaints.
Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel has a free tuk tuk shuttle that takes you to and from the main drag - comes frequently and if there's no tuk tuk there, you can tell the attendant who can radio one over for you.
Also a mall nearby with the Jim Thompson outlet - great value souveniers!
