Modern. Comfortable rooms. Simplicity. Airy atmosphere. Great pool. Large parking. Free shuttle to the center of the action. Tranquil location. Very reasonable price.
Breakfast was not included and we didn't opt for it cause it was 300 baht/head. In a 1500 baht double, to pay 600 for breakfast seemed over the top. Internet was not included and was expensive as well.Rooms are turned out once a day so if you take a siesta you come back to a messy bed. Bathrooms were small, but all our 3 rooms had a small balcony. Unfortunately the view was not great shakes.
This hotel is rated 3 star but feels 4 star. Better to stay here if you have a car because though you're near the center its not a comfortable walk to the action.
All in all, this is a super vfm, well located hotel for those who want to spend the day out and come back to relax. Don't expect to be entertained if you like to spend 6 hours a day indoors.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Do yourself a favour and rent a car. You'll be better off in this hotel, and you'll have better options to eat. You'll also have better beaches to discover than the pathetic strip of beach in Pattaya centre

Good basic hotel, location, price, brand new
I stayed at the Ibis Nana for three days in June, I mainly choose this hotel because of the price, it's very new so everything is in good condition, the room size is a little small but ok, the location is about a 5-10 minute walk to Sukhumvit, if you have stayed at a Ibis hotel brfore then you will know what to expect! Overall I think this hotel is a good choice for anyone on a budget, at 1,200 Baht a night it's hard to beat!

Internet wi-fi cost, 180 Baht 1 hour
I stayed at the Mercure hotel Pattaya in June '09, it is a very high standard hotel, the rooms are excellent (I booked a deluxe) the location is not tooo bad, a 4 minute walk to Pattaya 2nd road, near soi 13, you can walk through the Avenue shopping centre 24 hours a day! This shopping cantre also has a multi screen cinema, the swimming pool in the hotel is grewat, very big with loads of loungers! I got a really good price on Agoda.

On arrival at the hotel every thing seemed ok , porters opened car door and collected luggage, upon check in i was asked for my passport but my thai wife who has lived in the uk with me and are children for 6 years gave her passport but this was not adequate and they also wanted her i.d card.
When we arrived back at the hotel for the first 3 nights after being out security were still asking for her to put her id card behind reception,i had to speak to reception 4 times before this stopped.
Maids would change linen and towels and make up room even upto 6pm but they wuold never take rubbish away or empty bins.
When we checked out we had 4 days worth of take away cartons on the table and in the bin in the room.would not stay again. Lk renaissance in soi dianna far superior

Good Room. Very good staff. Free shuttle service to Second Road.
Price of internet access. Restaurants.
Very good hotel at a very reasonable price. The hotel location is very good; behind Pattaya Second Road in a very quiet and peaceful setting. Pattaya Second Road and Beach Road were within short walking distance. Also, the hotel provides free baht taxi service to the Second Road 24 hours a day and are always there to provide return service. The staff, from front desk, restaurant, and bell were very nice and good at their job. The rooms were large and all have a balcony. The bathroom smallish but functional. Wireless internet throughout the hotel and in rooms but rather expensive. One hour is 180 baht. When you log off, the timer stops. For one day, the cost is 400 baht and the time does not stop when you log off. Access is good for only 24 hours. The hotel boasts of three different restaurants along with a jazz bar. There is a very small room advertised as a French Bistro Restaurant with maybe two or three tables. The Cafe has menus for Thai/International, Italian, and French Bistro. There is no separate Italian Restaurant. Ray's Place is advertised as a jazz bar but all we heard was American black soul music. We ate breakfast only once during our three days there; the first day. Typical hotel buffet breakfast which was not included in our booking. I only wanted an omlett and it cost 195 baht. There is a small mall about 3 minutes walking away. They have a 24 hour dinner where I had breakfast each day; 58 baht for two eggs, two bacon, two toast, orange juice and coffee. There is a Villa Market there with a lot of international items including English newspapers. Overall, a good quality hotel.
Restaurant Tip : Good food at the small mall just a short walk. Shenanigan's Irish Pub is very good. The 24 hour diner provides good food at great prices. There is a Starbucks, AuBonPan, and other outlets for good variety.

pool, rooms, cleanliness, staff
long distance to beach road and hard beds
This hotel is a great deal. Very clean and new for the area. Hotel staff were very friendly and courteous. Even though not walking distance to beach road they do have a free tuk tuk to take you to the secondary road. The pool is amazing, especially in the heat of the day or after hitting the beach. Never a problem getting a chair. Would definitely recommend to my friends!!

very good location, quiet, nice pool and garden, clean, friendly, rather new hotel
poor breakfast buffet, very small bathroom
Excellent location, walking street can be reached within 10 minutes walk. There is a 24-hour shuttle service to the main road (2nd road), from there walking street, royal garden and the beach can be reached within 5 minutes. The hotel is a little bit away from the 2nd road therefore it is very quiet. There is some construction going on around the hotel but there was almost no noise. Poolside rooms have a nicer view, the other rooms are in street direction but even those are quiet. There is probably no other hotel with a nicer pool in this price range. Good food in the hotel restaurant. Excellent value for the room rate compared to other Pattaya hotels in this price range, hard to beat.

Quiet location but still near the nightlife, graet pool, good rooms with balcony, free tuk tuk service
Lower level rooms can have the odd mosquito, food can be expensive
Second time I have stayed and will be staying again. The rooms are nice and have a balcony. All have safety deposit boxes. The hotel is not easy to find but once you know the area there are a few short cuts to the main streets. There is a free tuk tuk service also. The pool is great and open late if you don't like the midday sun. The staff are pleasant and helpfull. The food and drink can be a bit pricey at the hotel. Security at the hotel is excellent.
Nightlife Tip : Use the free tuk tuk or learn the shortcuts

The hotel is situated close to the brach, shopping malls and the evening entertainment centre. All not more then 500 mt walk. The hotel has an very qig but quit swimmimpool in a beautiful garden.
I can't understand why an hotel from this standard charge you Bht 400 a day when using wifi internet by own laptop,Many cheaper hotels already gave it available for nothing as an additonal service.I advise every one to go to one of the many internetshops were the cost ar just 1 Bht a minute. For extension of the room for 5 hours the hotel charge Bht 1.000.
I was there from 18-26 April. The rooms are large and very clean. Reach eoom have balcomy and all benefits are available, except free wifi. The diner is from high level, special the filet steak. Btreakfast Bht 300 to expensive and should be included.
Shopping Tip : At he second road go to the right and visit Cental Shoppin mall. Just opened and all branches available. Internet outside cost 1 Bht a minute

swimming pool,service,location
some constuction work nearby
this was like a little oasis in the sometimes hectic and seedy pattaya.a good value hotel for th high standard of room, and one of the best swimming pool areas in the resort.just a little way from second road so not to far from anywhere.make sure to find the short cut that takes you through to the avenue shopping and entertainment complex, otherwise you might be giving yourself a bit of a walk.by pattaya's standars this is a good, clean hotel,if you know what i mean.

It's clean and comfortable. I like swimming pool.
No bell boy to send us to the room so we don't know how to get to the room or even how to open the door with card, it's our first time.
It's good hotel if you need full relax because it's quiet and comfortable.
Nightlife Tip : It's easy to walk to the pubs and bars or walking street, it's not too far from the hotel, as it's not too close so it's not noisy and crowded, it's lovely.

I loved the location of the hotel. It was away from noise and traffic and very quiet.
The staff was very helpful and curtious.
The only thing I would like to see is more a dresser in the room ror clothing.
My stay at the Mecure. I will highly recommend it to anyone visiting Pattaya Beach. The hotel is away from the main roads which made for a peaceful stay. The accomodations were very comfortable and the hotel staff was always eager to help out and very friendly. If your in Pattaya, the Mercure is the place to stay.
Restaurant Tip : Stay out of the restaurants and try the local food from the local vendors. The food is outstanding.
