Montien Hotel, Pattaya

For me the Hotel is just too old and ran down to visit it again, the bathroom was also very old and had a lot of mould around the bath / shower. Everything in the room was just worn and it all needs a complete refurbishment and a revamp. The location of the hotel was very good and 10Baht taxi easy accessible outside the hotel. The hotel pool was very good and reasonably clean and very well set out with sun beds as there were very few guests easy to move about and follow the sun or move to the shade. The Room service was very good and reasonable price also the Coffee shop was a very good service and very polite and helpful staff. Breakfast had a reasonable good choice and once again no problem getting a seat and no need to queue for omelette etc, would be a ok hotel if you were not to bothered about cleanliness.

I asked the staff why Montien still charge 500BTH/day, at this info era, for in-room Internet service where most aren't. Their answer was, "Because so and so hotels still do." I read some reviews on Montien before my trip. Every time I turned on the faucet, I had to let the water run for a minute or so to "bleed out" what obvious looked as rusty pipes. Montien really made me feel like they are out sucking blood.

From the moment we walked throught the hotel entrance we were treated like royalty. The staff couldn't do enough to make our stay an enjoyable and hasstle free time. The gardens and pool areas were so relaxing and the view from our room was brillient. Orchids were placed on the beds each evening and the cleanliness was excellent. Will definitely come back again and recommend this hotel to anyone.
