nice rooms and decor but location not so good

Room smelled strongly of smoke, view was terrible and there was noise from building works nearby. Staff were not as friendly as previously mentioned in other reviews other than the guy who drives the hotel buggy; he was polite and very helpful.
Travel tip:
Would not stay here again.

This hotel is awesome, is only 3 star I believe but in reality is more like 5 star as far as appearance and quality of the hotel and the rooms. I been to 5 star hotels that couldn't touch this one at all. Little expensive considering is Thailand but again the quality and comfort are awesome. Really a very nice hotel with great rooms and decor. I don't like spending that much money on a hotel especially in Thailand but is worth it once in awhile.

overall, the hotel was quite pleasant. the room was nicely decorated and modern. the in-room computer was a nice addition which allowed me to keep in touch with friends and work.
however, the front desk staff was not particularly welcoming and the hotel is quite far from the city center.

nova gold was the best hotel that i have stayed at in pattaya , and i have stayed at about 6 different hotels over time , the position was great , far enough away from everything , yet 4 min motorbike ride too everything , the rooms were very chic , and clean , i will be back again soon and from now on its the hotel for me..

Spacious room on the corner. Couldn't bring myself to stop playing with the lights in the room...very functional.

Hotel Feature Tip:
Area was nice and quiet. Two convience stores in the area. Irish Pub with good food there as well. Away from the noisy streets and not much traffic in the area.
