Ridiculous conditions

Stayed three times at this place. Takes a while to figure out what they are on about. 1st trip back from pool at 1630 hours asked housekeeping for extra towels & to clean bathroom. Went out came back late at night towels not delivered bathroom not cleaned. Next TRIP 1 week later booked with request for EXTRA TOWELS. Mentioned it again at check in they just laughed. Later when I complained, I was told pay Bath 100 extra each towel. House keeping said they cant clean bathroom after shower because they clean bathroom once a day. My experience says charge US$ 20 or US$ 40 extra at room rate at booking but the conditions as they are are silly and irritating.

Nice hotel on the beach
Nice hotel, good value deluxe seaview room, relatively quiet location, friendly, efficient service, good breakfast. Beautiful pool.

The hotel is a well-kept, attractive somewhat older building in North Pattaya, away from the action, and set back a bit from the beach. I had a deluxe seaview room which was very good value, nicely furnished, and with an attractive bathroom. The sweeping view of the bay and big balcony were big attractions. Breakfast was fine. Service was as expected, friendly and quietly efficient. The complimentary wifi internet worked well. The swimming pool was especially nice, because in this season swimming in the sea was not very refreshing. The weekend I was there, a huge steet market was being held to benefit the merchants affected by the protests and ensuing violence and arson in May 2010 in Bangkok. This involved an outdoor stage somewhere nearby with top volume haranguing of the crowd and musical entertainment. It's certainly no fault of the hotel, but you should know that a location right on Beach Road can get pretty loud if this kind of thing is going on.

The hotel is in north Pattaya and more quiet than near the walking street.The beach is just in front.Rooms are spacious and nice decorated. No noise from outside. Breakfast is various but staff is not realy friendly. Overall this hotel is good for his price. We sure go back there.

great view from room right across pattaya bay, great location - close enough to walking st, but far enough away to be out of the madness.

During our 3 week stay in Pattaya, we stayed in 3 different hotels and I would rate Discovery Beach the best by far. The room was spacious, clean and bright. The bathroom had a separate shower - wonderful!! The view and situation was perfect. This will be our 1st choice from now on when visiting Pattaya.

D-Beach is definitely the spot for convenient access to the beautiful Pattaya beach. Just walk across the road & there you are. The hotel pool is a lovely place to relax after the beach and enjoy a cocktail or a nice lunch. There are plenty of restaurant options close by & songtaews everywhere to take you to Walking Street.

Pool area is nice. Drinks are relatively cheap. Fitness room and pool attendants are nice. Room is cozy.

I went for a short holiday to Pattaya on my own and chose Pattaya Discovery Beach Hotel based on the following criteria: near the beach, nice pool, fitness center, near downtown, free wi-fi access, at least 3 to 5 star and safe. The hotel ticked all the boxes and was pretty happy with my stay. The view could be better. Rooms nearest to the to the lifts have the best view.

It was an ok hotel. The pool was very nice the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room just needed work. I really do not like having ants and bugs in my room. The room needed a new coat of paint and who ever designed these rooms needs to be shot. The so called "art" on the wall looked like they got a piece of red cloth sprinkled tin foil on it and then framed it. Really takey.
Shopping Tip:
there are alot of stalls and shops very near by the hotel.

I stay this hotel for two nights. Location is convenient. Just cross the street to the beach. Our room is 45"c to sea view. I enjoy the sunset at our barcony. The free wifi is great but connection so slow. If you not bring your notebook,still can use free internet at the lobby area. Breakfast quite good..varities of choices. I try food at the beach side restaurant..great view. Menu is interesting and price is reasonable. In room is just ok..clean but air con is hard to get cold. I try to contact reception but seem like they need to train for service mind more.
