Pinnacle experience

This is my second time to the pinnacle resort. I have loved it for the reason that it is private, quiet, resonable in pricing and not so far from town. The pool/s were great as well as the garden cabanas and the beach was private with only a few sellers that come along once in awhile. The breakfast is a fantastic selection and the regular didning as well is superb. There is also small local/international restaurants near by as well as some small convinience stores. If you want to get away from it all, this is a good place to start.

Necessary family travel

The Pinnacle Grand JomTien wass perfect for my stay in Thailand. I was traveling with a friend and my two sons during Thailands "off-season". It was quiet and didn't have the "party" atmosphere like at larger resorts closer to the city. The pool was well maintained and large enough to accomodate us whenever we chose to use it. The grounds were well-maintained and the staff was very helpful especially if you knew how to speak a little Thai. The tours out of the hotel were reseanably priced and were well worth the small fees. Any complaints (there weren't many) were immediately tended to.
If you like to stay on the beach another resort may be better for you. If you do not need to be near Pattaya, Phu-ket may be a better choice. Some days the beach was too dirty to go for a swim and other times wave runners were passing too close to the swimming area.
Overall,I was pleased with my stay at this resort. It does not have the grandness of resorts found elsewhere like in the carribean and Mexico but for Thailand it was a well-run resort.
Restaurant Tip:
There are two restaurants to try a short distance down the beach. The Sea-Falcon restaurant has good breakfast and awesome Lobster. There is an Australian restaurant with good pizza and decent Thai food in that same area.

the internet area are full of mostquito, if you stay there for 5 mins you will have 20 mostquito bits.
guest should sign for using the internet but nobody did and the staffs do not control it , when you want to use the internet the kids or the selfish people will just stay and not leaving , so we can not use the internet servce at all.
Our tv does not working and reported to the staff, the answer was the signal is not working but next room (our friend) had all the channels., after 3 days i complained and the luggage boy arrange someone to help and it only took 3 mins to find the channel for us, it means that the staff was lazy and not to bother to help.

Hotel located at Na Jomtien south from Jomtien beach. Large garden with many activities and private beach. Nice hotel in Pattay and Jomtien area if you want to stay in a calm and relaxing resort.
Restaurant Tip:
Many small seafood restaurants around the Hotel.

An average hotel that can not boost more than 2 stars. It is now catering mainly for mass tourism (Mainly from Russia) and seminars. The beach and water are dirty. Food was Ok and staff though not helpful (No one serves you and you have to carry all your luggages to the room), were generally friendly. First and last time in this area.

We looked at several hotels in the same price bracket in the Jomtien area and decided on this one. What sealed it was the deal we got on an upgrade to a sea-view deluxe room. This was when we eventually managed to talk to the manager as the front office staff have limited (or no) authority to provide deals.
The grounds are great and the beach area wonderful. The only things that let it down was the difficulty in getting around from there as the hotel is a little off the beaten track so there are no metered taxis, tuk-tuks or public transport nearby. Also the main pool is being rebuilt (to be finished in July 2011) so there was only the one pool. In its absence, the hotel give a complimentary evening meal. This is fine but the quality is poor and the variety non-existent - sausages every night! But there are some great local Thai and seafood restaurants on the beach within 5-10 mins walk so who needed the evening meal?
One final point, it could do with an air-conditioned bar where people could meet up in the evening. Every one goes out as there is nothing to do in the hotel. This is fine but you don't necessarily want to go out every night.
I'd definitely return though!
Hotel Feature Tip:
Other than the shuttle bus to and from Pattaya (80b pp each way) try to avoid using any taxi booked by the hotel. For example they wanted 3000b for a taxi to the airport. We got it for 800b!
