Piyada Residence Pattaya, Pattaya

I have stayed in many hotels in thailand, and by far this hotel had some bad practices. They seemed to want to charge for everything. They were not very friendly, and did not speak a lot of English. I called the desk to ask a simple question, do I use the towels in the room for the swimming pool....the desk clerk hung up on me 3 times. I wanted to secure my valuables when I went out....I had to leave a deposit of 1,500 bht (about 50 dollars) just to leave my valuables in a safe box. The safe box can only be opened between 8am and 6pm....so if you need your things or need to store things outside those time, you are out of luck. Makes me feel like they encourage someone to break in and steal your things....which by the way, the door lock on the rooms is like a lock in your house, very unsecure. The hotel is off the beaten path, and not easy to get a baht-bus to road one or two. So it will cost u a little extra each day for transportation unless u like to walk.

it may nhot be the most romantic hotel on the planet, but it does provide comfortable and functional rooms. Every was well kept and clean. Staff has been very kind and helpful. The location is along a busy street, but noise insulation was sufficient. It is about a good 10 minutes walk from walking street. Many facilities are available within easy reach.
