this hotel isn't really near city center and terrible traffic in pattaya make it more difficult. it will be a nice choice if you would like to have a weekend just lying down on patio chair whatever in the private beach or room's baloney.
this hotel is huge, you can really walk around inside, but not enough parking place. and only saturday evening have bar b.q. buffet, what a pity.

the hotel was a very good find and a most pleasant surprise . The view from our top floor mini suite was superb and spanned the entire bay. The sun sets were spectacular and after dark the lights of the fishing boats looked like a garland of lanterns across the sea. The staff we encountered were very helpful, efficient and well mannered. Every request was dealt with very well. On every single occasion when we asked for direction to a venue, we were escorted personally. It seemed that nothing was too much trouble. We both remarked that this level of service reminded us of the Peninsula Hotel in Bangkok. The sports facilities were very good as were the various pools, especially the infinity pool with its well designed layered sun decks. There were always plenty of sun beds available as well as pool staff to arrange umbrellas if needed. We tried different restaurants in the three hotels, one formal, one beach terrace and the big Saturday barbecue , all three made for an enjoyable experience. The breakfast service was also nice with plenty of table choice and unhurried. My husband used and liked the attached sports complex. Check in and out was swift . My only caveat would be the predominance of Russian guests, whilst most of them are fine, a small minority is not particularly considerate towards other holidaymakers. I would also like to have free WiFi available and am surprised that this is not the case at present.
However, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Beach is quite far from hotel. Not appropriate for old people because it likes climbing up and down and no available elevator to the beach. Parking is also quite far from the hotel. But room is good and the best service room.

Nice location on the top of mountain with seaview. Great swimming pools and good breakfast. Room is big, neat and beautiful (We stayed in mini-suite type). Friendly staff and good hotel facilities. We're really enjoy to stay here.

All-in-one big resort with reasonable quality
Suitable for family holiday. Have everything you would expect from a big resort hotel.

I regularly use this hotel for weekend family outing, and for my needs I have a little to complain. Rooms are clean, OK foods, and the prices are reasonable. Several large pools, together with a private beach (if you insist to swim in Pattaya coast) are also available. I wish to see more channel selections in English, as too many channels are used up for Russian, Chinese, and other non-English programs.
If you are looking for an exotic remote beach resort, this is not the place. Or I should say Pattaya is not. Royal Cliff resort is more like a city resort (of course more spacious than those so called city resort hotels in Bangkok). But it is not located within a walking distance from Pattaya's night spots neither. This is actually good for family use. If you must see the pink neon district, you can easily do so by catching a "Songtew" pickup taxi at the resort's entrance gate.
