been there one week. a nice hotel. the building is three level and quite large: it looks more like a resort than an hotel. service and cleaning was good. the rooms are somehow no frills, but comfortable. thin walls: it may be awkward if you are close to a joiner addict :-).
the position is far from the busy walking street area, and by walking distance from big c supermarket and beach road. to reach the core nightlife, you have to walk to the beach rd ( about 200mt) and take one of the very frequent 10baht bus; on feet it took me more 20 minutes. there're a few nice dining spots in the nearbies, too.
Nightlife Tip:
For a relaxing evening The Guliver's is near, along the Beach Rd. For a more bustling evening The walking Street has plenty of choices.

stayed in 2 different rooms, the first room on the other side of the parking lot was nice, and had strong wifi. the second room closer to the reception smelled like smoke and the internet dropped every few seconds. very nice large breakfast buffet, probably the best part of the hotel.

a bit far from walking street but easily reached by baht buses. when coming back from ws get off when you see the big c shopping center. wi-fi was pretty much useless. room is clean, but had a drainage problem. pools were very nice and hotel has a relaxing resort feel. shopping, massages, and food are close by. would stay here again.

Some of the staff were unhelpful and bordered on rude.

Many swimming pools. Overnight guests are permitted in the room. Breakfast buffet is BIG.

I cannot recommend Sabai Lodge. The air con stopped working several times, including in the middle of the nights, so you wake up soaked with sweat. The bathroom door is hard to open and squeaks so loud that you will wake up your roommate at night. There is only one front desk worker who speaks good English, so getting problems fixed is impossible. The shower sprays water all over the bathroom. Internet service is absolutely horrible. The restaurant has too many flies. On the bright side: there are many large swimming pools. Location is OK, since it is easy to get around Pattaya.
Restaurant Tip:
Order a $4 shrimp cocktail at the hotel.

bath and shower a bit dated
was sold deluxe room with pool view , had only a view of a back wall so needed light on at all times
bar closes most nights at 9.30 which results in the hotel dying a death in the pool area.

eficiently run hotel in three main connected building sections each with its own swimming pool. ideal place for pool loungers.
service to the poolsides was slow and they cannot do poached eggs !
reception service was very good with competent and helpful directions given for obscure pattaya locations.
i will recommernd and visit again.

Request poolside or balcony poolside room. Some rooms between building sections are low level with little daylight.
