Great location but old rooms

i was hesitating between sabai lodge and sabai resort which are in close proximity in soy 2 . i started with this one and stayed for 5 days. reception was very good with lots of smiles. the room was a little disapointing at first ; so i asked to change and they agreed with no problem.the rooms are very clean and comfertable. the pools are nice but a little smelly and should be cleans at the edges better. hotel mostly for singels or mixed couples. no families!! hotel is visitor friendly. the great thing is that you are actualy in central pattaya but it doesnt feel that way.good valeu for the price. but if i have to chose again i would go to the resort....

Great Hotel and friendly staff

I stayed at this hotel for the first time this month April 2011 for 10 nights.
Everything about the hotel was first class, clean, all ammenities, and helpfull staff.
No problems with guest admission.
I would thouroughly reccommend this hotel for its location and all services catered for.
I will be booking again for my next visit in Ocotober, cant wait to return
Shopping Tip:
Big C shoping mall 5 mins walk away, where everything you need is available, souveniers, gifts, clothes, food supples to stock up you fridge in room etc.

fourth stay at sabai lodge and will probably always be my hotel when i visit pattaya. the rooms are large, kingsize beds, large showers and clean. the staff are all very friendly and attentive to needs. as far ar the location, just a short ride away from walking street, but within walking distance of many, many other entertainment venues and things to keep you busy. never disappointed with sabai lodge!!!

Average hotel needs a face lift
Didnt like a lot about the hotel, rooms were old and tired as was the whole hotel. Would have been good back in the 70s and 80s but dosent quite cut it in comparrison of other hotels around the same price.

the staff were friendly and the hotel was ok if you were the sort of person who would be out partying all night and just looking for a bed to sleep in, the breakfast was average but about what you could expect for asia and the price. the location was ok there were a number of bars just up the road as was a large shopping complex. for transport it was a short walk to the end of the road to catch the bart bus which were running constantly day and night. the beach at pattaya is dirty and crowded with deck chairs and speed boats and jet skis. there are much nicer places to visit in thailand. pattaya is really only a place to go if you are looking for the girls and night life. for an extra $3 a night you can much better accommodation.

the staff on the hotel was werry discusting and just smiled and laughed.............. my room was also infected with bed bugs and small spiders ? only one thing to say dont stay at this hotel!!!!!!!!!

Very Good location in Pattaya!!
The hotel is in a very good position in Pattaya. It is easy walking to Drinking Street, and Big C, whilst the 10Baht transport to Walking Street is available at the hotel door!!

The hotel staff are very helpful.
We did ask for a room change, as we did not like the position of the first one allocated,and did not think it was the type we booked. this was efficiently dealt with, and we were moved.
Breakfast is very good!!
The rooms are adequate, and good value for money...it is not meant to be "5 STAR"!!!...so don't look for perfection!!
What it is...is a good clean hotel, with good service, and in a great position for getting out and about in Pattaya!!
The hotel is also upgrading its facilities..there was some building work going on in part of the hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you are up and around in the morning...try that breakfast!!
