Helpfull staff, nice pool.
Large low level complex with several pools
8
The Sabai Lodge is part of a much larger low rise complex with several nice pools, the Lodge has one on either side of reception so they are not over crowded even at midday! The accomodation is quite large but a little worn out, as are the poolside lounges. The sports channels are only accessable from the lounge and not your room, sad. They want you to drink thier booze!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Everything is close by as beach road is only 100m away.

Convenient location, quiet yet close to the action
Cleanest pool I've ever seen and a very friendly staff
8.7
My stay at Sabai Lodge Hotel was enjoyable overall. Located on Soi 2 in Pattaya, it is a very short walk to the beach in one direction and very close to the bars, clubs, massage parlor's, etc. in the other direction. While close to all these things, it was very quiet in my room, especially with the A/C on. I really liked the lighting and A/C control by the bed so that if I got up in the middle of the night I could adjust the temperature and lighting without getting up. The only things I didn't care for was that if there was an elevator, I never found it AND the bed in my room was VERY firm. I have more nice things to say than bad though, so I would consider staying there again if I could get a softer bed. If the bed isn't a huge deal to you, I think it's a good deal for the money.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Close to the Hard Rock hotel I was asked by some guys on the street if I wanted to go shoot guns. I thought it sounded fun so I hopped on the back of their scooter and off we went. They took me somewhere in Jomtien and while there was an option to shoot guns, I found that they offered Elephant rides so I chose that instead. My point is that you should understand that if you allow someone on the street to take you on a scooter, expect it to be an adventure and go with the flow. I wouldn't recommend a single lady doing this as it's probably not safe, but I'm a big guy so I generally don't have any problems with people anyway. The elephant ride ended up being 1,400 baht I believe and I enjoyed it. I was asked to pay 40 baht for bananas to feed the elephant and had to pay another 100 baht to get back to my hotel from Jomtien via scooter.
On a different occasion, I had a baht bus driver drop me off in the middle of nowhere and tell me that my hotel was not on his route (it was) and that it was not in Pattaya (it was). He said he'd take me there for 100 baht (it should have cost 10 baht) so I told him no. He got mad and drove off, leaving me standing on the side of the road with not much clue as to where I was. After 30 minutes of exploring I found my way back to Walking Street, at which point I was able to navigate my way back to the hotel. Be careful...that's the overshadowing rule here.

The best quality/value hotel of Pattaya
Perfect location, big and cleam rooms, good breakfast, nice people at the frontdesk
9.3
We were 3 girl friends staying in the hotel for a short night, but it was really a good value for money deal.
We arrived at 10.30pm, our room was ready with our extra bed and towels (which is rare!).
The receptionists were really nice. The room was big and clean. Bathroom not very new, but perfectly clean and big as well.
We left very early in the morning so couldn't enjoy the pool, but the breakfast was various and good.
We didn't had time to go very far away from the hotel, but it was close from the beach and from bars where we had drinks.
I definitely recommend this hotel. A really good suprise!

Good location, old but clean and friendly staff
Friendly staff, no problem for guests, good swimming pool
7.3
Well in general I was happy with my stay at Sabai Lodge. It was close to night life but far enough for resting away from walking street noise. Stayed with friends and all were satisfied. It has a good swimming pool. As mentioned above bathrooms need renovation and rooms are a little bit old but everything was clean and neat. You have free wireless, 2 complimentary bottled water and minibar items with good prices. If you are solo traveller and not looking for hilton standarts this hotel is recommended to you.
Nightlife Tip:
You can go to walking street which is a must to visit in Pattaya with public taxis which are passing exactly infront of hotel with max 25 Baht pp (Approx. 3 usd).
By the way not about night life but think twice if you are planning to rent Jet Ski on the beach. We did and they hassled us. (We did not make accident but they called back to beach before our agreed time period and said we made accident -actually we did not- and asked 70 USD for a broken plastic peace during riding on waves. I would not advice you to rent jet skis.
