Decent mid-range hotel

this hotel delivers decent accommodation and service at the right price. many russians now stay there. the buffet breakfast is a good way to start the day, particularly the omelettes made to order. with four swimming pools, it is a nice place to relax. i like the quiet location and it is easy to hop onto a baht bus and take a ride to walking street. as so often happens in thai hotels, the wifi is pretty useless in the rooms, though i could get a decent signal in the restaurant.
Nightlife Tip:
Walk to Second Road, turn left and walk for about 400 metres to Drinking Street, an area of beer bars that had a nicer vibe than many similar areas in Pattaya.

This is an old favorite of mine and I have stayed there many times, always busy so book early. Although this hotel is a bit old they must be doing something right, stayed in Pattaya over Xmas period and could only manage to get booked in here for three nights. Rooms are clean with TV, safe, Air-con, shower, comfy beds and pillows and the room I stayed in had been refurbished as had other parts of hotel. The pools are clean (unlike other hotels in the area), the location is good, staff are friendly and helpful, the foods good and served warm, worth paying for breakfast as they have good variety, baht buses pass front of hotel. There is a new hotel being built close by so some noise if you get a room by the dolphin pool.Get a room by the large pool and you wont hear a thing. Hard to fault this place, you will be hard pushed to get better for the price, I have never been disappointed in the past 7 years that i have stayed here.
Shopping Tip:
Big C shopping center at top of soi has everything you need, Boots pharmacy, restaurants, cinema, phone shops, supermarket etc

Really noisy hotel with children screaming from morning until late night. Buildingconstrution straight across the road and really bad breakfast, there was no knives and forks, no plates and no glasses, but loads of staff. Really unefficiant. Beds were as laying on the floor. Cheap hotel but we will never stay here again.

The rooms are carpeted instead of tiled which I liked and nicely layed out. The staff were very pleasent and helpful and the outdoor pool and bar were a great feature of the hotel.
The lodge is in a quiet area but is in easy reach of the beach.
I wil be staying there again.

Unfortunately our stay here was not what we expected. There is a big construction site situated next door to this hotel which will probably be continuing for another 18 months.The noise of drilling and banging starts from dawn until far into the evening,so dont expect any quiet time lounging around the pool. On the plus sides, the reception staff were warm and friendly and breakfast was adequate. The rooms were dated and could definitely do with some refurbishment soon. The hotel is reasonably priced though and the food served in the restaurant was good as was the attitude of the bar staff was pleasant also.

OK, but bot again

The hotel was about halfway down the Soi so was a quiet walk to Beach Road, or to Sabai Body Massage / baht bus stop on Second road.
The room was quiet, but frankly the whole place (except for main pool) looked in original 1970 condition. Breakfast was decent but you need to pick the coupon ip from reception each morning which no-one tells you.
I only saw 2 obvious working girls leaving the hotel, which depending upon your reason for visiting Pattaya can be a good thing, or, in my case a sign that i won't return to the hotel as it doesn't suit my needs.
For the price i paid, during high season, it was acceptable, but many better, and often cheaper, options exist in town.

Be sure to have a Soapy at Sabai Dee

I spent great three days at the Sabai Lodge. It was relaxing and I felt that I was treated very well by the staff. I had several special requests that were met immediately.
The location was very handy to shopping, movies, and transportation.
Shopping Tip:
Big C and SFX Cinema right across the street.

couldnt fault except the toilet was backed up & th
the toilet backed up & the wif i would not work from the room

use of a bucket or 3 flushes made the toilet work OK for my entire trip the hotel refused to take any proactive action otherwise was very good
