Swasadee Sunshine - Pattaya
Good breakfast included in the room rent. Staff was good, no trouble.
5.7
The hotel was good but the location was not impressive. The hotel staff was good but some room furnitures and bathroom doors were very weak and almost broken, no intercom telephone, TV not showing channels of India and AC without remote. Breakfast was good.

this hotel (!) should be removed from the list of agoda. granted it is cheap, but it is still too expensive for such a dump. some of the rooms have no windows, (and some do not even have air con) in a climate extremely hot and humid. fortunately, for a supplement, i was able to get a room with a window. they claim that you have wi-fi in the room for which you must pay extrta; it has never worked; i have never been able to have access. they say that breakfast is included; they are not even able to make a decent thai soup, much less an american breakfast. the personnel must be the worst paid personnel in pattaya and it shows. agoda should remove this place from its list. there are plenty of hotels around at the same prices or better prices offering something more decent.
Shopping Tip:
Shopping is a dream for those who are interested in low quality bargains.

Inexpinsive and good location hotel
If you are looking for inexpensive hotel in the center of Pattaya, this hotel will be the best choice for you. The location is pretty much in the center of Pattaya. The booking that I made was included breakfast in the rate. It is just amazing. The reception at the hotel was pretty kind and helpful.
5.7
This hotel will be the best choice if you stay in central pattaya with inexpensive rate for long period. Breakfast was included. You can get to walking street real easy. Then, you can be smashed as much as you want at night to come back to the hotel.Just be careful that there are many Sawadee hotel in Patttya and motorcycle driver would not know which one is where. On the other hand, if you stay with your family, it wouldn't be the best choice because I think the most guests who stayed at the hotel is single man. The room is furnished but it is not fabulous. If you go with your family, I recommend to stay at the other hotels with more stars.
Nightlife Tip:
There are many go-go-bar and bar beer around the hotel. You can have any fun over there.

near ....central festival pattaya...and beach
near central festival pattaya
near pattaya beach
nice staffs

A standard room with fan is O.K. (there is no any window) with the price that I paid I think a standard with air-conditioned would be better (there is a window but should beware of the thief who could window-cracking).
you can walk to beach and the central festival in 5 minutes but far from "walking street" about 2-3 kilometres. If you like night life the street is interesting.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
walking street for nigh life crazy
central festival for shopping lover
koh larn is very nice for nature lover
beach at pattaya is O.K.

Adequate and Cheap
Located right in the middle of Pattaya, and a very short walk from some of the best night life in the City. Polite staff.

I've stayed in several hotels of the Sawasdee chain and they're all about the same; very old, inexpensive but reasonably comfortable, the Sunshine is no exception. This hotel must be 50 years old, and the room while freshly painted showed its age. The television was also old and worked poorly but the bathroom although ugly was functional with a good water heater and plenty of water. The staff was polite and efficient and considering the price this and all Sawasdee hotels are a bargain. There is no lift, so going up and down the stairs is good exercise.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Don't get one of the "fan only" rooms. Not only is it too hot here to be without air conditioning but the non-air conditioned rooms are located in the middle of the floors and do not even have windows. The small extra charge for the rooms with a window and an A/C is well worth it.

Cheap and cheerful
Free Breakfast. Clean. Friendly and helpful staff.
6.7
This is very much a budget option. If I stayed again I would pay a little more for a 'proper' bedroom (with aircon and window). That said, the hotel is perfectly adequate in provideing the basics: a comfortable clean bed, a bathoom with hot water, and breakfast. Staff are helpful and the hotel is centrally located in the tourist area of the city.

a bit run down but location is good & central to many things, staff nice, no free wifi to be found around the hotel, all just ok for the money, furniture was old & the bed very soft almost like they took all the old stuff from their other properties & store it here

Adequate
Price, location, amenities working, safety box
6.3
Well, I guess you get what you pay for. Hotel is not top notch but what do you expect? You get a clean comfortable bed, strong fan (adequate substitution for AC), clean bathroom with shower working (wash basin outside bathroom), fridge, TV and free safety box in reception, all very close to Pattaya entertainment district - for a very affordable price. Breakfast is very primitive though...

Not so much Sunshine
The staff was courteous and helpful. The location is excellent because you are right in the middle of everything. The price was good, but be careful, sometimes you get what you pay for.
5.3
The Sawasdee Sunshine Hotel Pattaya is exactly what you pay for...just a place to sleep. The A/C was weak in the rooms, there were ants and little flies all over the shower, and the rooms aren't really that safe (although there are cameras in the hallway). If you are looking for the definitive budget hotel, this is it. If you are looking for something more, definitely try another hotel.

hotel review
Clean good house keeping, and a pool
6.7
This hotel was not bad for the price. The living conditions were sutible as long as you are only using the room for sleeping. On the down side there was no way to keep anything cold because of a lack of a frige or a place to get ice. The shower was not seprate from the rest of the restroom. A couple of positive things were the staff was very helpfull and willing to ancer any questions that you may have. The rooms were always stocked with what they did supply for example soap, shampo and water. The pool was kept clean, opining at seven and closing at nineteen. The pool and gym were located on the seventh floor of the bilding, that was suprisingly nice.
Restaurant Tip:
Tram station was only a walk away.
