i stayed about 8 days in shakespaare hotel.plase note that by taxi it is 15 minutes to walking street. hotel is in the center of jomtien beach which is 10-15 minutes to pataya center by taxi. but by time i liked jomtien beach more than pataya. it is cheeper an peacefull. beach is long enough. durin my stay hotel crew was so professional and smilely face.

I arrived about 6pm,and the first thing I found in my room was somene else's shoes and socks. There was some sticky stuff clinging to the phone which wasn't working anyway. Theres NO LIFT, so I walked down (5 floors, stairs littered with tissues etc), again, and was told the phones are all out of service.There is only ONE helpful lady receptionist who changed my room for me, but the others at reception CANNOT understand even the simpest English. A lousy hotel,(its no more than a Motel), I checked out the next day, after a cold measly breakfast, which is free.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Take a room on the 1st or 2nd floor- no lift.Breakfast is minimal.

We were given a room on the 5TH floor and there are no lifts.The floor seemed sticky and dirty. The room was damp and stuffy. The staff are not well conversant in English and the hotel is located in South Pattaya..far from the city centre.

The stay at this hotel was just okay. I needed an inexpensive hotel for just one night. Overall, it was okay and the rooms were overall clean. In order for you to move around always take a Sunthaen for only 10 baht and you will be fine. They are 24/7 doing rounds around the city!
Wouldn't stay here once again, would def look for other options If ever come back!

near this shakespeare hotel the same owner has the hotel sharespear family hotel, which is just renovated, it is just 40-50 m away but in much better condition
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
the hotel is situated on Jomtien road but too far , in an end of this road, in 20 m from a beach, but i think that Pattaya sea is too dirty all year arround

i arrived in pattaya shakespeare hotel jomtien beach, my stay was 12 nights , i found the room basic but very well fitted with more space than required, the staff are well in controll as they offer daily room clean and other plus points were the fast internet setup, and the general flow of hotel booking in and out was fast and without hastle, the hotel is in the centre of the jomtien area and finding shops (7-eleven) stalls for food or clothes and many other types are more than easy, the markets are close the beach is not even 1min walk away , from the hotel rooms with balcony you catch breath taking sunsets and cool sea breeze.
Nightlife Tip:
i mainly planned my evenings during the day but most nights i just hit the streets and ended up walking and exploring hours away, id leave to go places like malls and tech centres early morning, however most shops open 10am . id return between 12 and 2 - then plan my evenings, you have to look around to find best deals and remember depending on season the markets close up 9:30 to 10:30pm mostly. i avoid bars , its not my intrest, but if it is yours, there are hundreds with very much to offer, have fun,
