Close to beach and new shopping centre
rooms are much too noisy and the in house internet absolutely a rip off
Siam Bayview is quite a nice hotel with great swimming pool and area but the rooms facing second road are much too noisy and cant get any sleep until after 2 am, the inhouse internet has a fee of 17 bahts per minutes and you got to make sure you unplug the cord or you will get charged for a full 24 hours or 700 bahts, this is a rip off, another rip off is the breakfeast at 650 bahts per person, otherwise it is quite a nice hotel to stay if your facing the beach side
there is other hotels just as nice and much cheaper
Hotel Feature Tip : do not use internet in room and go somewhere else for breakfeast, at 650 bahts it is ridiculous

The service, restaurant, location, facilities
Rooms are a bit tired but very clean
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and it certainly won't be the last. The staff are wonderful and the surroundings are lovely. The little extra special touches like platters of fruit and homemade biscuits delivered to your room each day free of charge are one of the many things that make this hotel stand out from the rest in Pattaya.
Shopping Tip : This hotel is very close to The Central Festival Shopping complex which is amazing. It has a fantastic supermarket and food court on the ground floor and wonderful restaurants on the top level.Prices are very reasonable. There are also lots of upmarket shops in the complex and many book shops, optomotrists and chemists to name a few. Taxis are plentiful and cheap.

Location, Pool area & friendly staff
For a 1/2 day stay the Hotel is adequate, for longer stays I would look for a better Hotel, The location is the best feature, close to all amenities but not to close to the bars. Rooms are good but the bathrooms are very small & tired.
Most of the staff were very friendly and very helpful although the reception were not that accommodating.
I would probably change hotels next visit.
Shopping Tip : Very close to the new shopping areas

-great value; the ocean view room I booked looked great on the internet but when I arrived at the hotel it appeared to have been occupied, without any delay I was upgraded to a suite which was amazing for the price I ended paying.
The amenities are many, from two choices of pools to massage areas dining and bars.
Service was always with a smile and prompt from all levels of the hotel.
Walking up to the hotel you notice the tropical/Asian arrangements that give the hotel a difference form the usual clean cut, straight lines of the other hotels that use colorful displays to set the ambiance. This place goes about it in a more subtle, natural way. As soon as you arrive in the lobby you are greeted with a smile a cold drink and a chilled towel for your comfort. Checking process took only a couple of minutes barely time to finish your drink. At the elevators a smart salute and click of heals from the attendant puts you on your way in the right direction. Walking through the uncluttered and peaceful settings though the halls makes you feel at ease. More smiles as you pass the ladies making there rounds. Arriving at your room you find a clean and spacious (especially in the suites) comfortable and near homey feel to the room. You put your bags down and the relaxation just starts to seep in.

Hotel has a comfortable feel and ambience.quite and relaxed lobby and pool areas.
No bkft was provided with our internet booking in march 2009.Internet access fees to high.THE room is comfortable but on the small side. I stayed in ocean view previouly and this time city view.If you need to be in the centre the hotel is good otherwise seek alternative if you want your breakfeast included as most hotels do.
Overall the hotel is very nice ,perhaps a little high with all the deals avialable in 2009.it is close to the new plaza and central area,if thats important.Better deals avilable with breakfeast around pattaya. The staff are generally very polite and helpful, although after 3/4 days a security guard approached my g/f and asked here for her I.D.She didnt like that at all and voiced her complaint to the staff.THE hotel has 2 pools if you want a very quite place to relax.

The very central location. The very imposing reception area. Friendly, polite staff.
Room a little on the small side and the bath/shower area also a little small, but room well appointed with thoughtful touches.
It is not the first time I've stayed at this hotel. Considering how central the location is the grounds are an oasis of peace. I particularly like the layout of the imposing reception area. The staff were always helpful, efficient and polite. The sweeping steps into the enclosed garden and pool area and the plants and flowers I like very much.

Beautiful property, nice pools, nice rooms, nice staff, good location.
A bit expensive for pool food and bar service and room service. Breakfast was not included in our room and cost 625 bhat (13 euro). At that price you can walk down the street and have a breakfast buffet for 100 bhat.
As other reviewers have indicated, this hotel is not brand new. The bathrooms in the rooms are a bit small and dated. However the rooms in general are of excellent quality, great linens(like sleeping on cloud), flat screen tv, robes, coffee/tea making, balcony, fridge, built in desk and seperate sitting area. This was def. a step up from the Areca Lodge where we stayed even though Areca was newer (and half the price). Each night at Siam they bring you a little cookie. Great attention to detail. We had a flight at midnight and they made us a deal to let us stay until 7 p.m. for 20 extra euros.
Travel tip : Walk down the driveway of the hotel and you are on Th Pattaya 2, go out the back by the pool and you are on the beach road. We liked the location with lots to do but away from Walking Street.

Good Location and convenience.
Room condition get old and poor.
Hotel is situated at good and convenience location. It is easy to do shopping and having a meal near hotel. But the condition of room is get poor and old. It needs some refreshment to facilities. Hotel`s Swimming Pool is too small.

Bathroom needs updating...Too many mosquitos.
It is a very pleasant hotel nicely located near the beach and the new Pattaya Shopping Centre. The price was reasonable.

Excellent location - 2 minute walk to the beach
Hotel is a bit old (as most Pattaya hotels are), and rooms are very dated
For location - this hotel can't be beat. It's a two minute walk from central Pattaya Beach / Beach Road. Access to taxis is very easy. Breakfast is good, with a good selection of Asian and Indian foods. There are two pools; one facing Beach Road and another, more private one in the back. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel is that the rooms were quite dated. Furnishings were okay, but the bathroom was not up to par for the price of the hotel. It was very small and felt like something out of a 60's motel. Security on staff was courteous and helpful too.
Nightlife Tip : take a 10 minute taxi ride down to Walking Street for an interesting nightlife scene
