Solo travelers France, May 14, 2013	Holidays spoiled balcony, wifi, safety box 3.7 Its an old budget/midrange hotel so expect the usual stuff ie. dark rooms, old fashion furniture, stains on walls, sheets and towels, holes in the sheets, torn towels, mildew smell coming from AC). But, above all, be aware of this : They are now making a new floor on the roof top. So, as a consequence : - swimming-pool and fitness room are closed - early wake-up for everybody (jackhammers, hammers, etc. they are all here), so forget the nightlife. - of course, the noise continue during the whole day (until 6pm) so impossible to stay in the room to relax during daytime. I want to point out that I was staying on the second floor (hotel has 5), and that I am not a light sleeper at all. I am now wondering why nothing is written on agoda about this project, why when I checked in the staff didn't tell me anything, and why when I asked them how long it will last they answered me only 3 days whereas at the end of my stay the works were still going on, and the manager finally conceded (on phone, she escaped to bangkok during the works) that the works will last ... 1 month !! Of course, as you can guess, this helps to spoil holidays, so be careful if you plan to book this hotel before mid-june.
Steven M. Solo travelers United Kingdom, May 13, 2013	Not appealing Room was clean. Lobby had a drinks machine. Bike taxi outside the lobby. 5.7 The hotel was not what I expected. There was no food/breakfast or bar. The hotel pool was closed for refurb and the noise from 7am of the workmen was unbearable (pool on the top floor so ALL rooms affected) many guests I spoke to checked out early.
