Good location, Good English speaking staff. Three elevators, some hotels only have one or none at all. Clean rooms. housekeeping not friendly Sunbeam has a great location and is close to everything that tourist wants like restaurants, bars, shopping malls and entertainment. The three elevators were very efficient. Spacious lobby for relaxing after a day of sightseeing and shopping.Good English speaking staff made check-in easier. Housekeepers not very friendly, but clean rooms.
Travel tip : Central Festival shopping Mall 5 minute walk, food carts up and down soi 8, no need to go far for a drink - bars galore.

Nice pool area There was a little noise from the bars adjacent till about 3am but for the money I paid this hotel exceeded my expectations I travel for most of the year on different continents and can be a difficult client, especially when paying for "so called" five star properties. This is not a five star property, but is better than many that pretend to be! This is a nicely renovated property in a good location about 100m from the beach. If you are into girly bars there are about 500 within walking distance. The rooms are nicely appointed and the AC is efficient. The staff are friendly. My one complaint was that the hotel does not offer irons and ironing boards from housekeeping. Most hotels in the world do. The staff attempted to help by sending my shirt out for pressing, but then forgot to collect it, meaning that a $400 shirt has been left in Thailand. The hotel have said they will post it to me, so hoepfully they will! This could have all been avoided by either having an iron available for guests or a follow up sheet for front desk staff. Would I stay here again? Most definitely!

one of the best location - at the center of Pattay's nigthlife, security very polite and friendly, rooms are very clean and with really nice and fashion design, waterpool is pretty good - it seems like everything is planned and made thouroully. The veiw from the window was really poor. Room service is also very good - bed clothes and towels change in 10 minutes. You can by fruits on marketplases in nearby, and hotel service will cut,serve and bring it to the room free of charge.
A big stores and marketplaces just near. It is in 15 minutes walking to "Walking street" the heart of Pattaya night life.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You can rent a motorbike without insurance for 150-200 baht for small one and 500-600 baht for sport/chopper. Be aware about hotel enterance. It is not convinient for bikes due to high curve.

Rude staff with a bit of an attitude problem I like where the hotel is and the rooms are fine. But the reception staff have got attitude problems which is changed from when I was there last time.

Great location. Great breakfast. Great rooms. Friendly staff. Great pool. Currently undergoing renovation, so can be a little bit noisy during the day between 1000 - 1700. We stayed at this hotel for just one night (Saturday). It was great and wished we had stayed there longer. The hotel is only about 80 metres walk to the beach. It's located right in the middle of the busy tourist area. There are many bars and shows right outside the hotel, so you don't have to walk far for a good time. The rooms were beautiful and clean. They were nicely decorated. The breakfast was also great, with many choices to choose from. Highly recommended hotel.
Nightlife Tip : Great location. Right in the middle of the busy nightlife.

Very good interiors and Room lighting. Fantastic location very near to beach and Good communication by hotel staff. Like to go there again. Complimentary breakfast was not included in the package. The things i like in this hotel is its Room interior and lighting. The best thing is very near to beach and good Indian restors near by (like -ALIBABA restaurant).Very good night life nearby and very friendly staff (they have not charged for late checkout). The only thing i missed in this restaurant is complementary breakfast.
Nightlife Tip : Very near to night life just outsite the hotel.

Easy to reach the bar, close to 7-11(2 mins walk) English of the staff, Decoration, Breakfast This hotel looks really old, and we are staying in the Superior room looks so different the one we see in the internet, we don't think it is value to stay in here, and this hotel is really close to the bars and let us feel safety if go outside at night.
And the room is smelly when we go in, and the beds of the this hotel too soft. and the toilet hasn't been cleaned!
The staff is quite poor in English and lack of product knowledge we think they have to be improved...actually we will not stay here again.
Nightlife Tip : This hotel is really close to the bars.

No joiner fees. Staff friendly. Pool is in shadows, not heated! Maybe a nice feature when it's very hot in Thailand, but not during high season (cooler climate) because the pool was too cold to use! I was excessively charged for both a Christmas and New Years party where other hotels offered the same (if not better) for a 10th the cost! Breakfast only lasts until 10am... The internet was very weak, when I could connect it would loose links easily and I couldn't connect to my bank (had to go to internet shop), it was only good for email (buy 120 minutes = best deal). My first room was a "superior" and I was very disappointed... it was small, the bathroom sink soaked me when I turned it on (never had that happen before). The bed was a queen size but was really two twins pushed together (not comfortable) and found my first cockroach (first time at any hotel at this price point >$70 US) that night when I woke up to use the toilet. The hallways are in desperate need of new carpet! When I was here I saw that they were working to improve the appearance but they have much to do still. The very next morning I upgraded to a Deluxe room (very nice), nice bed, bathroom was twice as big with large tub, good TV and no bugs. Also the view was excellent from the top floor. The location is good (on soi 8 near 2nd road) with pig and whistle breakfast right next door (found after missing breakfast over and over again). The building next door is being worked on, though with air on medium and being on the top floor = I couldn't really hear it. Having said all that, without being able to use the pool... I paid too much for what I got. For half the price, in hotter weather (so the pool is usable) I would consider again - otherwise I'll go somewhere else.
Shopping Tip : Buy what you need for drink or snacks at small shop across from hotel rather than pay for mini bar fee. Laundry wasn't too expensive and they did a good job (fast also).

Location is a minute walk from Beach road, lots of choices of places to eat and bars
The upgraded room seemed smaller than I remembered. Internet use in room too ecpensive Not my first stay at this hotel with nice modern rooms The place is going through renovation. The pool has high buildings all around it, so gets limited hours of sun. Breakfast choice and service was very good
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : always cary change for the baht bus, just give them the 10 baht fare and dont ask them what the fare is as they will oftern tell you the first large figure which comes out of thier mouth.

house keeping not very clean not advisable when travelling with children, located in side street ,had to walk through those sleezy bars to get to main road.
Hotel Feature Tip : because of its location, it's very noisy at night,may be ok for single people but I won't recommend it for family travelling,the rooms appeared much nicer on wedsite.

Good central location, right in the middle of heaps of action and fun. Some construction noise around and breakfast finishing at 10am a little early for party folk. These are the same cons for most hotels in Pattaya. Our stay in Sunbeam was pleasant. Staff were always friendly and willing to assist. The location on Soi 8 is great with many interesting places just outside. This meant it was a little noisy in the early morning hours, but the hotel is set far enough back for the street to not be too loud. The pool area was good, but it does get quite windy and shaded from the sun at times. Overall with the help of the friendly staff, our stay was a comfortable experience.
