Pleasant stay and a big positive stay! Guest Rating: 3.5

I recommend this site "Agoda"; it is safe, fast and convenient.

• Travel tip : This hotel is mostly good for nightlife. I found that a bit annoying, as this wasn't the purpose of my visit. If you want to enjoy more of nature you will probably be better off at the Garden Sunshine Hotel.

We will probably use it again, though it lacks family rooms. Had a very enjoyable stay, but one might want to have rooms on the upper floors, because on the fifth where we were, could hear the noise at night.

• Restaurant Tip : Very close to Sailors Bar, which has excellent service and makes what you want. They have lots for farang and since I am picky, had lots of difficulties finding food, but at Sailors, always got what I wanted. Only stay away from the burgers, not good.

not a romantic weekend place

There was one particular unacceptable incident which will ensure that I will never stay at the Sunshine Hotel, Pattaya ever again. During a routine safe deposit visit, one female reception staff member proceeded to threaten to confiscate my room key claiming that I had forgotten to switch off my air conditioner on one single occasion. While I accepted her comment, I felt she could simply have asked me rather than threaten to confiscate my key, especially as I had prepaid my entire stay. This incident was in full view of many other guests waiting to use the safe deposit fecility and I considered it to be unnecessary to be done in this fashion and I found it to be very embarrassing indeed. I was shocked so I asked her to repeat her threat ... she did ... another two times in front of everyone!! I asked her for her name and she refused. Should the Hotel wish to contact me for any further details I would be pleased to assist, though I doubt they will. This female reception staff member's initials will be recorded on my safe deposit record card under Room number 806 on the date 31 May 2008.

• Hotel Feature Tip : This Hotel is not suitable for families/children.

Soi 8 is action packed and there is some new developement going on.

You can get the car where can fit 10 people at the back easily with a cheap price. They will bring you to round the Pattaya area.

Check in was efficient and friendly, the rooms large, the bed comfortable, the in room safe convenient and the pool nice. I would have liked to have internet access in the room but the internet cafe is in the courtyard of the hotel and very convenient.
