nice staff, very helpfull
this hotel is quite ok, nice staff, good location and the breakfast is also good. The swimmimg pool area can be improved. The hotel is close to the entertainmnet and shopping area but not noisy at all. You have all commodities close to you. The internet shop is ver friendly and the restaurant is ok.

Great breakfast, nice service, close to nightlife
I booked the Sunshine over the internet and chose a low budget hotel, but recieved a fairly good, middle of the road hotel with friendly servicing, exelent breakfast and a very friendly atmoshfere! And to top it of, the location af the hotel was quite in the middle of the towns nightlife and there was - of course- no charching for visitors. I was very pleased with my stay and will certainly stay at the Sunshine hotel another time.
Hotel Feature Tip : The breakfast was very good value

Clean rooms, great location.
I didn't like the swimming pool.
I stayed for 10 days here. If you like the crazy night life, its the place to be, when you go out from the reception the street has plenty of bars and clubs!
The room is good, I got the cheapest one and was it small, but clean, good shower.
Nightlife Tip : Party bar, and all the other beer bars in the street are really fun, enjoyed there.

near all the Pattatya Night Spots
No Safe Deposit in the Rooms
For the Same price , I can get a better Hotel than Sunshine Hotel and Residence.\n\nFirst of all, the hotel is using the keys instead of Smart Cards and there is no safe deposit box in the room and have to use the deposit box at the reception counter instead.\n\nThe lights and Air-con were not working very well too.

good location at heart of soi 8 and 6
some construction work near by. lower floor rooms no view and had to keep curtains closed most times as room opposite can see all in your room.
Excellent hotel location in heart of soi8 and round the corner from soi6

Great value for money, clean room, very good breakfast spread. In the heart of the entertainment in Pattaya. 2 minute walk to beach.
I don't think the location would be suited to families or people looking for a quiet vacation, but then again, I don't think Pattaya is really catered for that kind of tourism.
I enjoyed my stay at the Sunshine Residences. The staff are very nice and helpful and the room was great for the price. The breakfast was a good continental buffet spread with some thai dishes as well which was good. The hotel is on Soi 8 which is very happening in terms of entertainment and beer bars and very close to the beach.
Nightlife Tip : Soi 8 is full of good beer bars.

Hotel is itself good value for money pleasant stay specially the residence wing, no noise and disturbance compared to the Hotel wing.
The Hotel is good , clean spacious, with balcony and sit out with music and hotpot and tea and coffee facility , good room service. the location is good close to the beach barring the very active night life to get a decent family restuarant have to walk 10 mins as surrounded only by go go joints and bars. close to shopping area. good shopping
Shopping Tip : come out of the hotel and turn right to the main road and turn right, and go to the shopping market, flea market. have to bargain good shopping for ladies western outfits and high heeled sandals.\nfood do not miss the tubtim fish grilled on cart on road in front of the hotel for Baths 100

Superb location, friendly staff, good rooms, everything nearby
sometimes the lobby had a "funny" smell, and also AC had some problem. (not always cooling and water leaking out in room. Rm 508)
A very nice hotel, very conveniently located in the heart of Pattaya. The staff was very friendly, the room was very comfortable.
Having room service until 3 am is quite good, and also they are quite fast.
Reception and HSKP are very lovely people, as I am sure the rest of the hotel staff are as well.
Next time tough I may try the Residence building to see what the differences are.
Will certainly come again if I return to Pattaya. had a great 17 days/nights!
Nightlife Tip : Soi 8 and 7 right there. Beach road is at two minutes walk. walking street about 15 minutes walk. Pattaya 2nd road 1 minute walk with all its attractions. A lot of small "bike" eating places around hotel. Soi Honey 10 minutes walk.
Fantastic place

nice & kind staffs
locates in middle of pattaya's main road
just next to Pattaya beach
room smells bad and is located in a noisy place
the first time when I entered this hotel, there are very clean lobby and nice & kind staffs.
But the room is no good than I expected - very loud at night time and room smells too bad.

Big rooms with huge wall of windows and slider to balcony (superior residence), nice pool area, good value for the money, and close to all the action. I also liked the courtyard, bar/restaurant that looks out on the busy street for people watching. Breakfast is pretty good.
Ask for non-smoking rooms or they will put you in smoking one. No hair dryers and they are insufficient on toiletries. A bit far from walking street so need to take taxi. Ugly beige carpet in room instead of the tile from the pictures.
This is the perfect hotel if you are looking for a place that is clean, cheap, in the heart of central Pattaya, with fairly nice, decent sized rooms. Our room was a superior residence room- it was a smoking room, but we ended up not changing because it was on the second floor overlooking the courtyard with a good view of the street. The bathrooms are good and we were comfy in the King bed. The hotel itself is simple, but the staff was really friendly to us and gave good service. If you are high maintenance, or have a snobby attitude then do us all a favor and do not stay here. The key to a good stay at any hotel in Thailand is to be nice and ask for changes or help with a smile. We had a large group of friends and we all took our kids. We stayed with our teenage sons (13, 15, 18) and they loved the pool, ordering the milk shakes and food from the hotel restaurant and definitely loved the sights and sounds of the nightlife around the hotel. If you have little kids and are conservative about social issues then you may want to try another place (or city) but if you have adventurous and well-traveled kids then by all means, this city and hotel are fun choices. Spend a day at Coral Island - they will love it! A good foot massage spot is just across the street and restaurants are everywhere!
Nightlife Tip : Outdoor restaurant on 2nd road and Soi 10 is good. Avoid renting jet-skis on Pattaya beach as they are into scams - they accuse everyone of damaging the jet skis to get more money.

The location is excellent for easy access to the beach and beer bars. My room in the residence section was very quite with a view of the ocean
Reception area was dark and not inviting. The free breakfast was not very nice compared to other breakfast experiences. The swimming pools were uninviting in appearance.
The hotel is situated in the very busy beer bar area of Pattaya. Moving around the area was ery easy and I always felt safe. The room had a carpet floor and I always dislike this in a hotel room. Th Air Con worked fine and was able to adjust it and not too much noise. The hotel is very suitable for men on a budget and looking to party
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go to the pier at the end of Walking St and take the ferry to a little island about an hour travel away. Nice beach and the fare is 20 bart. Excellent day trip
