Decent hotel with great location for nightlife

Sunshine hotel is located right in the middle of Soi 8 which is full of wild nightlife. Also it is about a three to four minute walk to the beach. Ten minutes on a shuttle truck and you are at walking street. Several malls and tons of restaraunts surround this area. The hotel itself isn't anything special but for the price it isnt to bad. My friend had an issue with bugs in his room, but once brought to the staffs attention he was given another room with no hassle.
Nightlife Tip:
If you are going to pattaya to indulge in the crazy nightlife this is a good location for it.

terrible loud hotel with a good breakfast

hotel was under construction and sign said construction starts at 10 am which was fine, and it will not be finished until november (i think it will take longer). the people next to me on the 6th floor must be residents and they woke me up every morning at 4am with banging on their door then screaming for about 15 minutes, when i told the front desk about this they said "ohhh". the bars are loud and can be clearly heard from your room especially on fridays. the breakfast was the only good thing about this hotel, other than that i would stay away unless you can live with 2 hours of sleep a night because in between 4-6 am are the only quiet times, and my queen bed was 2 singles pushed together with seperate sheets

the hotel has several types of rooms where some are rather luxurious and others are terrible. the room i stayed in was 70's style furnished and has not been renovated for years. outside the windows (5cm away) there was scaffoloding and construction with a man sleeping on the otherside of the windows. The hotel management and the hotel staff are unfriendly and uncaring.
The hotel uses the reputation and reviews of the good rooms to push along the disgusting old rooms for the same expensive price similar to the one I stayed in.
Breakfast was another terrible occasion. arriving to eat breakfast half an hour before the closing of the breakfast time . I find that almost anything worth eating is gone from the buffet and I am left with salad, bread and jam.
The swimming pool is the size of my bathtub and no one uses it.
Travel tip:
there are at least 10 hotels with in the same price or cheaper that have brand new building that have newly renovated. do not go to this hotel.

Best bank for your buck, both hotels are centralize to main strips, great price but here everything is. Both hotels offer excellent included breakfast. The Sunshine (Pattaya) is going thru some renovation but it was not a bother at all. The President (Bangkok) was overbooked and accommodated us in a sister (better) hotel . Overall a great choice on both hotels.

the best hotel that i have found
It has the best location for night life and sight seeing. Rooms will always receive a 10 from me. Staff and services are fantastic

the stay was terrific and the staff there will go out of there to meet your requests. rooms are always clean and very well maintained. location can not be beat by any other. i will always stay in this hotel if there are rooms available. it has become more popular due to its reputation for being top rated.
Nightlife Tip:
This Ladies in Pattaya by far. The owner and managers there make you feel accepted and comfortable on your first visit. Drinks are at good prices and it is a lot of fun. Especially if you throw out a basket of ping pong balls. It really gets them going.

This was my second stay at Sunshine. The first one was several years ago. It was better this trip due to the vastly improved level of courtesy and attentiveness of the staff. The hotel is simple but clean and not run down. The rooms have spotless tile floors and the bathroom is large and spotless. The breakfast is above average for the bufet type breakfasts one finds with these packages. Night life abounds just steps from the hotel entrance but it was surprisingly quiet inside the room at night. I would not hesitate to reccomend this hotel to any budget minded visitor.

Always worth a stay at this hotel if you are looiking for no frills room for you and your companion. Rooms always clean and well presented. Mini safe in the room a nice touch and provides sense of security. Towels a bit thin and tired but room fit for purpose. Stayed in the new block and asked for high floor for a quieter night !
