Staff - extremely friendly and helpful Breakfast - good variety and buffet kept refilled

Foyer - lacked amenities

We travel to Pattaya every year on a golf trip. Decided to try a new hotel this year. Booked Sunshine hotel residence wing through Agoda on a very good deal. Booked residence wing which was slightly more expensive based on advice. Staff were the best of any hotel I have stayed at in Pattaya. Very helpful and friendly from concierge, to reception and housekeepers. Room was adequate, well air conditioned with individual controls that work and quiet all of which area a huge bonus in Pattaya in the middle of summer. The only down side was that there was no view form my balcony as it faced inwards on the hotel but this probably contributed to the quietness of the room. Overall a very good stay and we will probably return next year.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We were there to play golf which is run out of several pubs in the area including transfers and green fees and prizes each day. We found the best to be Fergus at the Travellers Rest in LK Metro off Soi Dianna. Next was Peter at the Golden Ferret at the beach end of Soi 7

buffet breakfast is good

rooms give a claustrophobic attack. cant sleep at night.

dont have the bus boy or anyone from the hotel get you transportation (tuk Tuk or pick-up) They will rip you off as they did me. 400 baht to go to bus terminal when it should be 40 baht.,

Apacious room , swimming pool and very good and comprehensive breakfast. Very near the beach. Walking distance from the Mike Shopping Centre as well as Royal Gardern Plaza

Bit premitive rooms with less amenities like no safe deposit box in the room, Hot Catle. On a very noisy street and unless you have a room on the opposite side night will be a disturb one.

A reasonable budget hotel with cooperative staff and spacious room and unexpectedly good breakfast. We being muslim also found good verity such as a salad bar , vegitable dishes in addition to other continental dishes. The passage to the hotel i.e the lane is bit uneasy to walk with a family as so many bars are located with both noise and objectionable dressing atleast if you are with your children. A comfortable stay.

great price, location, no joiner fees, internet cafe on sight and foot/body massage in sight.

no gym.

my second stay was just as nice as first. Front desk friendly open 24hours.The hotel has two sides, the old side(hotel) and the new side(residence). I thought the regular hotel side a bit old and outdated so I stay in a residence room. room-much nicer.Breakfast buffet on second from from 7am to 1100 serving pancakes, french toast, eggs made to order, juices and many other items. nice budget hotel, clean and friendly.

Soi 8 is a good location... breakfast was tasty

Bathroom is barebones lame

I would say that staying at sunshine is a good place to start if you have never been to Pattaya. You can get a feel for the Soi 8 area and check out other hotels for future usage. We stayed only one night and I have to say that that was enough for me. You can totally get a nicer hotel for the same price. The hotel is located close to some really really cheap beer bars, so it might be ideal for starting you night near the hotel and then making your way down to walking street.

Price, location.

Small amount of bugs in room.

Second time I have stayed here at the Sunshine. Staff is friendly. Room service is fast and breakfast is good (if they added cheese to breakfast it would be perfect!). The beach is only minutes away on foot and nightlife is all around. Easy to catch a taxi on Beach Road or Second Road depending on which way you want to go. Three theaters in the area, plus ample restaurants and shopping. Due to night life, I would recommend for adults only.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : THREE nice theaters within minutes of the hotel.

This hotel is right in the heart of it all,it is surrounded by bars,go-go clubs and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful. Also close to big shopping centre that has everything from KFC to english speaking movie theater with all the lastest releases.

It can get a bit noisey on the lower floors, from the all night party on the street.

Great hotel for location, dont expect a 5 star hotel, as this is not one. It is clean, friendly and the all day cafe has good food at great prices. If you want a good night sleep its best to try and get a room as far away from the street as possible, as the music from all the bars wont stop until 4 am. We hardly slept on our first night so we up graded for a small amount, and it was great, big room, clean and away from the all night party. And intend to stay here again

Close to the action good for a solo Guest Rating: 3

I liked this hotel, it is close to many bars and the big Festival shopping mall, I liked the breakfast. it is guest friendly and the staff did a great job.

It is an older building and no complimentary WiFi. But is to be expected due to the low price.

I liked staying in the Sunshine Hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful, they make my room in time every time, the breakfast was great, good variety and it is close to many bars, it is a nice place for solo traveler who came here for the action. It is really a bargain for the price you pay. I will still here next time if I am on a budget, but will go somewhere else if I get a bonus, as the room are a little small and I am a big guy.

Shopping Tip : You can get anything you want from the shopping centers close by.

Location, price, breakfast, cleanliness of the room.

The worst thing I can say is that the TV remote wouldn't allow you to enter 2-digit numbers to advance to a specific channel. You had to go up or down one channel at a time. That's the only negative and I wasn't there to watch TV anyway.

Check-in was a breeze. Breakfast was good. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The bathroom light was replaced within minutes of informing the front desk. Room 206 looked out over the pool and was quiet at night. The hotel is very close to the new Central Festival mall. Great value for the price.

Shopping Tip : If you're looking for real brand name items, Central Festival has them - no knock-offs.

Location of the Hotel made it convient to venture to soi8/7 or a short walk to beach road and "walking st"

My bedroom looked right into the resturant for breakfast - bit hard to open the curtains in the morning with all and sundry having breakfast till 11:00 am!!

Good place for a couple of lads out looking for a bit of fun. Not real good for the famliy. Visitor security was very good, and the staff were very friendly.
