everything was supurb... niceroom, great pool, great breakfast, friendly staff, very clean and tidy, great location, good prices... would stay again no problems...nothing needs to change one of the best hotels every stayed at ... would recommend this hotel to anyone ... great value, great amenities, shady pool, great service, friendly staff and very clean... good location in quiet area of pattaya...
Travel tip : good bar area close by with cabaret style entertainment las vegas style at no cost...open air venue... worth a visit nightly...

Pool with access from the room, american breakfast, free wifi in the lobby, taxi station next to hotel, friendly stuff, you can have your cocktail ordered from the pool The beach which is suitable for swimming is quite far away. Not all the stuff speaks English or German There is a hotel and resorts around altogether 3 pools. I stayed in a room next to the garden pool with balcony facing the pool. The room is a good size with enough storage facility. you can control all the light and the AC from a remote box located next to the bed which is very convenient. The bathroom is not the most recent design but clean and big enough. There is free internet access from the lobby area which is not air conditioned but supplied with a lot of fans and easily you can get used to the atmosphere. There are a lot of bars within the resort area with loads of cocktails and it's not significantly more expensive then on the street in a lower quality place.
The only downside is the location, which is not in the center of Pattaya and not in the South where some better beaches can be found; it is rather North. Although it's close to the Sanctuary of Truth, which is a must to see there. With taxi for 100-200 BHT you can get to anywhere in the town. If you are looking for girls in 100 yards walking distance you can find hundreds of them. They will find you anyway if you are single male traveller. In this area the girls are girls and not ladyboys like in the centre of the town...All in all this is the best hotel at that area and if you don't mind to take a taxi regularly this is a good choice for stay. There are many trips organized to beautiful places with excellent programs from different "travel agents" and they pick you up at the hotel. A lot of places around the hotel offer traditional thai food for very good price.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Sanctuary of truth is a buddhist temple, which looks like something from old times but it has been built only since 1981 and is expected to be finished after another 20-30 years. Everything is made of wood. It's located at Naklua on the seashore and it's just amazing. Beautifully detailed carving, slightly different colors of wood. Probably the nicest place in Pattaya.

The staff were always very willing to assist in anyway possible. Always a smile.
Service was usually good, Service sometimes lacking in the breakfast room. The Woodlands is a good family hotel. Ideally positioned in a quieter area of Pattaya, but withing easy reach of beaches and restaurants etc.
The service is generally good, but I feel that the staff in the breakfast room need to be more aware of peoples needs. The pool area is first class and safe. Rooms are comfortable and clean.
The Woodlands is a hotel that I would use again, and I would recomend to others.
