Almost everything is weak

I was checking in with my friend in the hotel. It is somewhere in Phetchaboon province which is beautiful. But that is the only positive thing on this hotel. It is far away from the main road and there is no kind of transportation. the service is bad including the breakfast which is very simple. The rooms are the worst of all high on a top. Old rooms old dirty terrible bad bathrooms including small cockroaches . I would never recommend it to anyone.

overall the hotel is superb, the location and the weather were threesome. The rustic chateaus allowed a lot of privacy for those who wanted to escape from the light and sound of the busy city. The management, however, endeavored to keep the guests busy with the activities they provided at sight.

This hotel was built quite some time back, it should upgrade itself in terms of services and maintenance of the hotel. Keeping in mind to preserve the rustic looks some features can be uplifted like the hot water system, the faucets as well as the hatched roofs are all worn out. Some insecticides would also help too. However, in raising their standard they can cater more to foreign guests all year round.

The Phu kaew resort is situated on the hill offering good weather as well as fresh air for the smoked filled lungs. An escape from kiosk and busy routines of our daily lives. A quiet and serene environment for the mind, heart and soul.

Restaurant Tip : A very good restaurant by driving up towards khao khor.

Excellent location. Great views. Cool architecture (Swiss style?). Really cool room layouts. Interesting dinner menu.

Abysmal Breakfast. Getting to the rooms a bit inconvenient.

This is probably the easiest place to get to from Bangkok if you want to experience a cool Thai "winter" without going right up into the north. The views during the day are breathtaking, and equally so at night when you can see every star in the sky due to the absence of any light pollution. The chalet rooms are of a very interesting design, because the whole resort is built on a hill. Therefore, they are built over 3 levels. The first level is the entryway and bathroom, the second level down is the bedroom and then the 3rd level down is a seating area with a sofa and TV. There is then a 4th level for the balcony right at the bottom. Nothing obstructs the view, because the other chalets are build in the same way... it's like a giant amphitheater! My only real complaint would be the American breakfast, which was really very basic and unappetizing. However, the dinner menu with exotic dishes such as Wild Boar Curry, Fried Deer with Holy Basil Leaves and Garlic-fried Ostrich made up for that. Another slight inconvenience is that it's quite a large property and not very easy to get from one place to another. However, the staff do operate a truck service which edges up the steep-and-winding roads to move luggage or people, and they were very quick to respond when we called them each time.
