A good hotel for a low budget

Room is large enough for a solo traveller, the internet is slow and sometime crushed, the location is quite far from beach (15 mins walk)

We loved this hotel for helpful staff, cozy large room with a huge window. But the breakfast was monotonous.

Rooms are very small, a bit away from beach.

Friendly staff

Getting the breakfast package as well is maybe not a good choice, as the breakfast is just three ways of bacon, sausage and eggs. The room itself is very small. Location is about 10-15 min walk to the beach. There is mostly no paving and you have to walk on the road much of the way which can dangerous with the road traffic. There are buses that run from the park to Patong, Karon then Phuket town for only 30 bt.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Beware of the taxi maffia here. They will charge you 900 bt to the airport. You can call a metered cab on 478 1234 and get a much better price.

Great hotel for the price and quality

Modern, clean, quiet and cheap.

We were really happy to find this cute little hotel. The rooms have all the necessary amenities, flat screen tv, nice sheets and they even folded our towels into swans. Little things that show they want to give good service.
Restaurant Tip: Great pizza close by in Kata at Capponinas.

Clean, nice, good value for money

Good price, right next to 7-11 and few restaurants. 5mins to beach

Rooms were clean and had all facilities you would expect. However the Jacuzzi was not working when we wen,t and breakfast wasn't the best. Walk to beach is a bit dodgy (no pavement & busy road).

Great guesthouse, good price

Clean, modern rooms, free wifi, rooftop garden and jacuzzi

great little guesthouse 10 minutes walk from the beach. rooms are modern and clean with flatscreen tv, tea/coffee making facilities and free wifi. there is a roof garden with jacuzzi which is lovely and the staff are all very friendly. we booked for two nights and stayed for a week. there is a minimart right next door, and some good bars and restaurants close by too. if you are a light sleeper ask for a room away from the road. it's not too bad, but you can hear the traffic. earplugs worked for me!

This was a great place to stay. It was not in the center of the beach area, but that was fine. The services and price were terrific.

For per person (3 nights!), Aloha Residence totally exceeded our expectations. It's a small 5-storey hotel with no fancy air-conditioned lobby, but there are comfy couches and some tables and chairs, and the ambience is more of a laidback beach resort. We arrived way before our check-in time and were told our rooms won't be done till 20 minutes later. The staff on duty was very kind and allowed us to put our heavy backpacks in their admin room so we could go explore the place. When we came back, she brought us to our rooms that were located on the 5th level (there's an elevator). There were only 4 rooms on that level, which basically meant we had the place to ourselves! I opened my room door and was welcomed by 2 beautiful towel swans on the queen size bed (requested during booking). The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean! Considering we only paid 50SGD, we were elated with what was presented to us. Some in-room facilities include safety deposit box, microwave, bread toaster, hair dryer, and a flat screen TV that had some good music and movie channels. Each room also came with free wifi and the password can be found on the table. Me and my female friend didn't get a chance to go up to the rooftop, but my guy friends did (while waiting for us to be ready). The place looks beautiful from the photos they took. There's even a jacuzzi! Pity we had no time to visit it. A perfect place to just chill with your companions at night! On the last day, the helpful staff once again let us put our bags in the admin room after we checked out while we went for lunch. When we returned, they allowed us to stay in the room cause there was still some time before we had to leave to catch a bus into town. Thank god for their genorosity cause the sun was blazing on the last day! All in all, we had a wonderful stay at Aloha Residence. Definitely value for money!
Travel tip: Rent a bike or car to bring you around the area if you don't wish to flag a tuk-tuk all the time. A tuk-tuk trip usually costs around 400-500Baht. We rented a car for one day and it costed 1200Baht. Managed to cover so many more places! Road trips are fun!
