Phuket is a tourist spot, with lots of partygoers. So when you walk around the beach, you will see a big mix of people. Nevertheless, the water is beautiful in Phuket and it is worth going, and it's nice to stop in Patong and see the madness. The good thing about Amari is that it is a little bit of a walk to the beach so you avoid the trashy element when you want to.
- Restaurant Tip : There is a restaurant at the north end of the beach called Baan Rim Pa, that everyone recommends. We were not impressed. There is a much cheaper restaurant in town called Dang. This was our favorite red curry and beer meal of the entire trip (in any city).
