Not a very pleasant stay
The price is reasonable but service need to be improved
5.3
Basically I would not chose this hotel next time unless they really make lots of improvement.
The staff there is not very flexiable and do not know how to make a customer happy. We arrived around 2am in the morning, thus we requested late check out, but the best they provided us is to check out 2pm. When i asked for later than 2pm, the staff tried to explain but we can not understand his English, thus we would like him to explain again but he seems not happy and shout at us. When i asked why he is so fierce, his answer to me is because i do not understand him. I personally feel that if he can not provide us with later check out, he can tell us in a nice way rather than shouting at us.
The front desk staff need to improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
Compared to other 4 stars hotel, the staff need to be trained further on how to make customers happy and satisfied. eg. no greetings or smiling from some staff.
The price is reasonable but it will be good if they can improve their breakfast too. The cleaness of the room such as bedsheet need to be washed cleanly
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you have 4 to 5 travellers together, it would suggest to rent a car, save on expenses and see more attractions.

Won't be visiting Phuket again anytime soon
Location -- but wasn't too great either
4.3
Was disappointed to not get an airport transfer. The least the hotel could've done was reply my emails to tell me they weren't arranging one for me.
When we reached the hotel we were greeted with the most horrific banging construction next to the hotel. We were informed at the front desk that construction was going to happen for the next couple of months on a daily basis from 10am to 5pm for the next couple of months. This in turn affected our entire stay. Our original plan of relaxing in our hotel that first day was hopelessly dashed as we dumped our bags in our room and left for patong beach.
Although our hotel was of walking distance it was really quite a walk and rather unpleasant. Especially when the weather was either scorching hot or raining during our stay.
Our experience in the pool wasnt pleasant either as it had single old man staring at us in our bathing suits.
Food was forgettable. The trips that we arranged with the hotel out turned out to be heavily overpriced.
Literally used the rooms to sleep in. Won't be coming to Phuket anytime soon. Too touristy. Patong food was also very uninteresting. The andakira experience did not help.
Travel tip:
Don't stay in the patong area. Very overpriced and touristy. Food was expensive and not good. The only decent meal was the last meal having seafood at one of the seafood eateries.

Andakira is a very good hotel, but is very noisy recently, especially for my room number 518 because of construction just beside the hotel.
we quite frustrated about this
our holiday spoiled because of the noise

Great location with a nice pool
Jacuzzi just at your door steps. Massage and Shopping Malls within walking distance
6.3
we had a great stay and no regrets paying more for the room with pool access. however the jacuzzi & safe box in our room were not working well.
breakfast need to be improved.
staff at the counter needs to be improved too.
Travel tip:
Somehow, the food at Junceylon is cheaper than roadside cafe.
Only 15mins walk to Junceylon.

Good location, nice rooms
5min from nightlife, 10 min from beach

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Andakira, though we did feel the maids were greatly inefficient. Once our room was not cleaned at all! A pity as the rest of the staff were quite attentive. Don't be put off.

Nice hotel, in good location.
8.3
I booked the Pool Deluxe Room, which had it plus and minuses, it was great to be able to get out of bed, open the patio door and go into the pool and sit on the jacuzzi bench. Very nice and relaxing. The minuses were when I was trying to sleep in, or maybe take a late afternoon nap, there would be kids screaming and making quite a lot of noise. I even came back to my room to find to old Australian ladies sitting on my jacuzzi bench nattering away. Even when I went out there they kept talking away.. Annoying, so if you want peace and quiet, maybe the pool room not the best option.
The bed was comfortable, the safe was rather small and old, and the low battery light was always on, so was not sure I would be able to get it open when I left, but that was fine.. Much too small to put a laptop in though, but I didn't bring one this trip anyways, so no worries.
Water pressure was good in the bathroom, although there was no real shower, just a bathtub with a shower nozzle that you had to hold in your hand, more eastern european sytle I guess.
Location was great though, very short walk to the Shopping mall, or to Bangla Road. And there is a shuttle bus to the beach if you don't want to walk.
All in all it was a pretty nice place.
Restaurant Tip:
In the evening there is a little food cart guy that opens around 9pm - 4am, on the way to Bangla road, just opposite Chang Pool Hall. Very good Pad Thai, and he makes other yummy dishes as well. Great to eat on the way home from the bars.

Great Hotel
Staff, Rooms, Cleanliness
7.7
This was a great hotel. I was a little concerned when reading about it on trip advisor, but the bad reviews there couldn't be further from the truth. I wouldn't get a pool room, as they can be a bit noisy with kids playing if you've had a few the night before and want to sleep in, but other then that, the place is great. It's a bit out of the way from the main action, and the beach, but it's really not that far of a walk, and I believe there are shuttles running quite frequently. We always would just walk 20 minutes or so to the beach, take in the sites, maybe grab a bite to eat on the way. The highway you have to cross is just a road, nothing to worry about if you've ever walked anywhere in Asia before.
Nightlife Tip:
It's close to the bar street, the muai thai ring, and the beach.
