Nice hotel but a little dated

firstly they checked us into the wrong room that we had requested. this we rectified in about 1 hour but it was not a good start. the rooms were a little dated and the hotel could use with a face lift. the pool area is nice, but the reastaurant is not the best in terms of price of food, it is cheaper to go into town for a meal. the staff did thier best to please, but the smaller hotels give better more friendly service than this hotel, overall ok but we wouldnt go back again.

The complimentary shuttle service for picking up guests at the beach stops at 4.30pm. That is too early as you cannot enjoy the sunset on the beach. The hotel is too far a walk and uphill from the beach. If the hotel had given shuttle service up to evening, it would have been much better
Hotel Feature Tip:
There is a jacuzzi in the swimming pool but it is not turned on. You have to switch it on yourself should you want to use it. If you don't know this, you would assume there is no jacuzzi or it's not working as there is no staff to tell you this.

Andaman Canaccia Resort

We really enjoyed our holiday at Andaman Cannacia. The resort is really tranquil and the lovely staff are very helpfull even with the language barrier. The tour desk was really helpful with advising us on activities etc. We had most of our meals at restaurants in Kata Beach, but the food we did have at the resort was good and the breakfasts were always satisfying. The shuttle service helped us with the hill and if we had missed it, there were always taxi's or tuk-tuks available. Nothing was ever a hassle. Would love to go back!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Ask about the beach at the southern tip of the island where you can go snorkling right off the beach. Can't remember its name but the resort staff know it. Also go to the restaurant up the hill from the resort on the right for spectacular views.

View was amazing, breakfast was nice and the pool was adequate. Staff were friendly too.

Overall the stay was pleasant, however there were some things that made the hotel stay nice the friendly staff, the view of kata beach was amazing and the pool having a water polo net was a pleasant surprise. Water polo balls were also available which was nice.Not too impressed with the rooms though, they were a bit run-down and could do with some upgrading same goes for the bathrooms. Another drawback was the steep hill to the beach as the shuttle service ended quite early. Lastly, breakfast was nice and it overlooked the beautiful view and pool.

Nice restaurant to watch the sunset, quite near the hotel

grande chambre avec salle de bain et spa. belle vue sur mer. bon petit déjeuner. navette gratuites organisées pour aller à la plage et au centre ville sinon 10 minutes de marche, le retour est un peu pénible car montée raide de 200 mètres. Belle piscine avec jacuzzi. vous pouvez trouver moins cher.

6 jours tres agreables.
personnel tres acceuillant, la villa est superbe, vue sur la mer, la piscine est magnifique, le petit dejeuner est tres bien, des bonnes "pad thai".
hotel tres bien situé, des navettes regulieres pour la plage...qui n'est pas loin.
à recommander !
Travel tip:
vous pouvez louer des scooters tout pres de l'hotel pour vous déplacer, c'est génial !
des belles plages à visiter aux alentours.
une belle ballade à faire à dos d'elephants juste au dessus de l'hotel et pas touristique !
kata est tres vivant.

Rustig hotel. Mooi uitzicht. Ontbijt prima. De kamers zijn ruim. De wat duurdere kamers hebben een mooi uitzicht, maar deze kamers zijn niet groter.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Phuket is super toeristisch. Er is veel te doen, maar is in vergelijking met andere bestemmingen in Thailand relatief duur.
