- bllue and white exterior design gives a "greece-like" feeling. very nice
- staffs are very friendly
- hotel is clean and service is fairly good
-kata beach is just walking distance away. For those who would like a "not so crowded beach" , you will like it here.
- the breakfast buffet is much below expectations. Rather do without.
We love the design of the hotel, very greece-like and the rooms are big. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Its within walking distance t kata beach. Not so crowded as compared to Patong. However, I suggest you to rent a car if you would like to venture to the city and patong shopping area. The only really negative point about the hotel is its breakfast buffet. Limited selection, does not taste fresh and good.

Across the street from Karen Beach and short distance from Kata Beach. Quiet location. Comfortable room. Nice Spa. Just one small elevator for the whole hotel. We were using Andaman Seaview Hotel as a transition spot before going to Ko Phi Phi Island in April. Except for the Spa, the hotel overall was OK for the price. There is not much things to do around this hotel area. You can get to a nice swimming Karen Beach from a fine minute walk to the right of the hotel or catch a short Tuk Tuk ride to Kata Beach to the left of the hotel which has better nightlife and restaurants. The seafood stands and restaurants to the left of the hotel offer fresh seafood selections at a reasonable price. Three or four massage houses in the row nearby offer good Thai massage.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Try to catch a 8 am ferry to Ko Phi Phi Island and come back the same day or stay overnight if you can. The swimming and water is great. You won't be disappointed!

We liked the: service, friendly staff, buffet breakfast and proximity to beach and other amenities. Really no weaknesses. The in room wireless internet service was somewhat spotty and slow.
Front driveway area could be improved with more vegetation. We had a wonderful family vacation from April 24-April 29/ 2009 at the Andaman seavview hotel in Karon Beach. The hotel was very clean, the hotel staff were friendly and prompt in their service. The pool area was spacious with a nice swim up bar. The hotel was close to the beach, requiring only a short walk across the road. Many great restaurants were within a 10 min walk.
Restaurant Tip : Several good restaurants within a short 10 min walk towards kata beach.

Design. Feels like true colonial times atmosphere. Lovely rooms! Shutters between bedroom and bathroom don't fully close. Staff knock VERY quietly - beware! My friend and I really enjoyed the stay at the hotel. The swimming pool area is well designed. To get a better view over the sea - you need a room on the 3d or last, 4th floor. Karon is very relaxing, no night activities. Busy Patong beach is 20 mins, 300 Baht (one way!non-negotiable!)away. Taxi back to airport is a true rip-off - min. 800 baht.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Was disappointed with 4 islands tour (Phi Phi, Maya bay) - unclear water, tons of people, nothing to see under water. Better take diving/snorkeling tour away from tourist area.

Breakfast, Pools, location Internet signal weak in my room This hotel is across the street from the beach, and you can get a cold coconut to drink on the way from a local street vendor. The amount of effort the hotel puts into the breakfast is amazing! Nice and quite hotel with several pools. Great value for the money and very comfortable. Close to all the restaurants and shopping of Kata also. Plenty of tuk tuks on the street to take you were you need to go. The pool side lunch BBQ was very tasty and I enjoyed watching the chef prepare it. I would stay at this hotel again, for sure.
Restaurant Tip : Oasis in Kata has great Tapas and jazz music, not to be missed!

Great location, just across the road from a beautiful beach. Staff is extremely friendly and accomodating. Terrific bountiful breakfast buffet. Great value for the money. Food service, other than breakfast should be improved. This hotel was a true find and I would go back in a second. The location is superb, directly across the street from a beautiful beach and easy walking distance to restaurants and a cute town. The staff was wonderful in every sense. The room was modern, spacious and attractive. For the price, it was a steal.
Travel tip : Next to the hotel was a number of excellent massage salons, where it cost about $10 for a one hour massage. Also, excellent restaurants right next to the hotel

Lovely pool area.
Breakfast buffet is excellent. Hotel needs system to stop reservation of sunbeds!
Room service very poor - food was cold
Gym has few pieces of equipment This is a quiet hotel set just back from Karon beach (which is a great beach by the way). The rooms are clean and well sized. Pool area is lovely if you are lucky enough to get a sunbed! Breakfast buffet is great - really good choice. The gym is air conditioned but has few pieces of equipment. Hotel transfer to airport costs 1,000 Baht.
Shopping Tip : Note a tuktuk ride to Patong from here will cost you 400 Baht. The new Ceylon shopping centre is great.

The staffs are very friendly and always ready to greet you
The rooms are beautifully designed and well-taken cared of probably the entrance to the hotel can be slightly improve, but it is of no concern The staffs at Andaman Seaview Hotel greeted us with the warmest welcome even though we had not yet made any bookings with them. They really went an extra mile and the half to explain and took us to one of the room for viewing before we make the booking.
The room is VERY spacious with a double bed and a single bed, balcony and bath tube with a window opening beside it so that you can communicate with your love ones while taking a hot bath.
The free breakfast was gorgeous, with a huge variety and having to taste all that beside the pool is really a treat.
Overall, I really think it really a bargain to stay here and did I mention that the beach is just 3 minute walk away?
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Karon beach rocks!

Friendly reception staff, clean room and hotel overall, very nice welcome - drinks, cake and fruit basket brought to room, fantastic breakfast, 2 good swimming pools and great location. Food and drinks expensive, younger staff members around the pool area not as helpful and friendly as reception staff. We found Andaman Seaview hotel on internet - all reviews seemed mostly positive so we thought we'd give it a go. We were mainly looking for a good location (opposite beach and within walking distance of all shops etc). The hotel is situated slighty back off the main beach road so is quiet and peaceful. During the day we were able to cross over the road to get to the beach (200 baht a day for sun lounger and umbrella). The beach was ok - a little dirty and very busy but did the job for a few days. Surrounded by lots of shops and places to eat.
We had breakfast included and the options were endless - so much variety. Bread, pastries, cereal, cooked breakfast, tea, coffee, orange juice etc
Only real negative things to say is that the drinks and food in the hotel were expensive. Fot 2 soft drinks by the pool we paid 120 baht (buy from the shop up the road for 20 baht each!). Also the service at the pool bar wasn't that good. Waiter couldn't even bring himself to smile, but reception staff very friendly and helpful.
Hotel is mainly full of older couples and a few families so ideal if you are looking to relax and chill out.
Restaurant Tip : You can find cheaper places (and nicer food) to eat if you venture out of hotel. Buffalo steak house does very nice food, a little more expensive than other restaurants in area but well worth it.

Loved the big kettle.
No where to sit inside and have a drink once staff had set up for the following days breakfast at night.
Waiter service for drinks around pool area needs improving. Staff congregate inside.
Very weak wi fi at times unobtainable. Had only booked three night here and wished we could have stayed more.
On check in late at night staff were friendly, professional and gave us a free upgrade to a pool access. Alwways a good starter.
Our Superior pool access room was very clean and comfortable. We loved the big kettle as we drink loads of tea!
Staff were friendly in most cases and service was good.
We only ate Breakfast in the Restaurant but the buffet was good and it was nice to have the choice to sit in or outside in the morning.
Had a facial in the Spa and found this to be excellent and the girls there were very professional.
The hotel was in a good position near to the beach with shops and restaurants within walking distance.
We would definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to family and friends.
Restaurant Tip : When you leave the hotel and turn left onto the main beach road the small strip of Restaurants here are very good value and always busy so atmosphere is good as well as the food.

Location is great; pools; breakfast;rooms the street to the hotel had a bad smell and the breakfast can be tastier compared to others we've been to. Stayed here for one week and really liked it. The hotel staff are helpful and friendly, the hotel and rooms are very clean, the room is well appointed, the pools are clean; the breakfast has a good spread. They could improve on the cooking though as hot food served is not very tasty.

Decor, cleanliness, location, pool Shower a bit old, and TVs need to be be upgraded to some LCDs. Lovely enchanting hotel, where the staff make you feel like family. Very quiet and peaceful. The pool is dreamy. The staff are always ensuring the hotel is at its tidiest. It was like a home away from home. Would defintely stay here again.
Travel tip : Rent a scooter it is the most ecomomical way to get about town. The beach in front is Karon Beach which is lovely, but even lovelier is Kata Beach which is just a 8 min zip up on the scooter.

near the Karon beach,room is clean and comfortable,good breakfast for a verity of food choice; helpful and very honest staff. I left my ipod in the safe box in the room when I leaving for P.P.island, but I called Andaman seaview staff want to find my ipod if stay in the room's safe box, I got the result that I wanted. when I came back to Phuket, took it back from the hotel staff. room's refrigerator made noise in the night. near the Karon beach with good sea view,room is clean and comfortable,good breakfast food for a verity of choice; helpful and very honest hotel staff. hotel has two good swimming pool beside can lie on the reclining chairs; room's refrigerator made big noise in the night.
