the hotel is great, the staff ever so accommodating and every request is taken care of without a hassle. a special note to thank the staff for being thoughtful and arranging for a cake and candles to celebrate my husband's birthday.
the rooms are big, clean have a great view of the lagoon. the bathroom is very clean and newly done up. i especially liked the soaps and shampoos, they smelled very spa-like giving you a relaxing feel.
all in all a great stay and will definitely go back.
Travel tip:
Was a bit peeved with the hotel rate because the room rate dropped drastically by the 28th of Nov (ie a day before our trip)
Not sure how that could be possible when Agoda guarantees low rates.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Angsana hotel and would definitely stay here again. Their pool was massive, the spa was wonderful and the service was outstanding.
The hotel is located right on the beach and has nice facilities in the resort. Our room was very nice as we were upgraded to the duplex that had an outdoor rain shower!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There is a free shuttle to the nearby shops and surrounding hotels on the Laguna

This hotel is in an excellent location. The staff are courteous, friendly and efficient. The facilities are pretty comprehensive and it was a pleasure to have free wi-fi.
There is enough variety within the hotel e.g. types of restaurants, recreational facilities, etc to keep one contented within the complex. The staff were excellent in informing one of available activities in Phuket. The whole Laguna complex is well designed and really caters for all ages, activities & preferences. There is really nothing to fault at this hotel - we would happily stay there again.
Shopping Tip:
Night market in Phuket Town at the weekend is excellent.

We really love the hotel. The room was pretty, luxury, comfortable, nice view, and very large. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although the hotel is very large but there are so many activities to do such as swimming in artificial beach pool and in the sea. There are 2 main restaurants for breakfast in which the food was explicit. We do not need to get outside of the hotel as it has everything we need for a perfect holiday.

Stayed here for a wedding recently, and enjoyed the place so much I'd consider going back! Received a generous upgrade on arrival, and much appreciated flexibility with regard to check-out time, made the experience that much better. Two-storey room is great, very quiet at night on the laguna, outdoor shower, nice sitting areas indoors and out. A bit of a walk from entry/reception to the room, but that adds to the peace and quiet. Plenty of families in the pool, etc, but no disturbance at night.

As a former estate manager and resident of Thailand for 10 years, I can say this has to be one of the worst resorts I have stayed in.
Ridiculously overpriced and not particularly clean. guest areas and rooms need detailing and serious attention.
The hotel layout is confusing and sprawling and generally lacks atmosphere.
The food at the outlets is expensive and not great, some of the staff were surly.
A couple of redeeming features are the breakfasts, (the buffet is OK), and the beds are comfortable.
This resort is definitely relying on families booking a package tour back home blind via an agent.
If you're a savvy, discerning traveler or in the region on business then pass by, stay at the JW Marriott instead. Cheaper, cleaner, better standards and friendly staff.
This hotel - no more than 3*

Ok if you have kids and have booked all inclusive and want to stay by the pool

we stayed in private pool villa. it's very spacious. we can have poolside bbq within our villa.
the cons is the transport between hotel and downtown. no public transport except taxi. the expense for transport is quite high.
