Overall, I was quite satisfied with the hotel as it was worth the money spent given its location which is close to the giant shopping complex, Jungceylon as well as the most happening part of Patong, the Bangla Road.
I had an economy room which was okay except for the bed, which was very hard on my back. The rest of my stay was all satisfying except for the fact that there are too many mosquitoes around. It's everywhere, in the room, in the lobby, even in the lift. The hotel should take action about it.

Bad staff attitude and mosquito in lobby

My fiance and i booked a 3 night stay at APK resort and Spa. Upon check in, we were given 1 room key and requested for another in case we were to be seperated during the trip. We were told that loss of a room key would mean 2,000BHT payment (that’s close to SGD100 for a room key???) No reason was given for this ridiculously high charge and we cancelled the request.
For those planning to book a stay, pls be really careful with the furniture in the room. You can find a list in the room that states how much you'd be charged if any of them are "damaged", if I recall correctly it is also 2,000BHT for one of those cheap white plastic chairs at the balcony. Bath towels will cost you 1,000BHT if they're missing - and on top of that, they’re not even clean i.e colour stains and God knows what else on them.
Wifi is only available in the mosquito infested lobby (unless you're prepared to pay for WIFI in room). The only saving grace is the size of the room, we took a deluxe with balcony, and it was spacious for the price we paid. The thing that bothered us the most is the staff attitude. Our flight was at night so we tried to rent a motorbike after checking out, and they informed us that they only provide rental to in-house guests only even though we had just checked out 15mins ago and were leaving our bags with them till we had to leave for the airport.
Pls only book if you don't mind getting frustrated by poor service.
