bad views, you could only see a touch of ocean. This hotel was extremely disappointing. We were on our honeymoon and thought we were going to a 4.5 star resort and we found ourselves in a hotel that was far from town, not easy to get to and not very nice. The upside of the hotel is definitely the swimming pools, they were truly amazing, but the actual hotel is very dated, not very nice and the rooms feel more like a 3 star hotel than anything. To make a king size bed, they just pushed two twin mattresses that were lying on the floor together. The sheets even had holes in them! They said that we had an ocean view and all we could see was a view of a dirty hotel roof with a touch of ocean in the background. Not what we expected based on reviews and hotel description. The only other positive to this hotel other than the pool was they did have an excellent buffet breakfast, but we definitely will not return to this hotel.

The rooms are clean and the resort is well maintained. the restaurant staff are excellent and very attentive A very unhelpful manager and customer relations staff, everything is just too much trouble for them. They wouldn't even check with the cinema to find out whats showing....
The mandatory XMAS and New Year's Dinners / entertainment are a total and absolute rip off!!! For example New Years dinner (excluding drinks) cost US$175 per person, you even have to pay for a glass of water! The meal was a typical, unmemorable resort buffet worth about US$25per person. As for the "entertainment"...what a sham... the high point was a drinking competition. We have sent a formal complaint to the managing director requesting a refund!
Both the events had the same band, playing the same old songs. There was absolutely no atmosphere and most guests left as soon as they had eaten...
The Auqamarine is a big disappointment and expensive. We have visted / stayed in Phuket five time before and have had a very enjoyable time. Our stay at the Aquamarine Resort gave us a feeling of a big ripped off...not a nice feeling for the festive time of the year
Hotel Feature Tip : Give this place a miss, there are many places to stay and many more currently under construction!

Beautiful hotel. Great service. Swim up bar!! Its remote location can be viewed as a con but it is perfect if you are looking to get away from it all. You will not be disappointed in this hotel. I almost don't want to sing its praises too much because I don't want it to get spoiled. The decor is gorgeous, the rooms are beautiful and immaculate, the views are incredible and the staff is very attentive. I cannot say enough good things about the hotel. I was very sad to leave.
Restaurant Tip : Steamed fish of the day is excellent. Happy hour is a must!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, that went beyond my expectations. The staff was extremely friendly and discreet: at the lobby, in the restaurants, at the pool and at the beach; always available when needed, and efficient. The lobby area is gorgeous (decoration, view, serenity). The rooms are very large; you can relax on your private terrace without seeing and/or hearing the other guests, and vice-versa, which is a great plus!

Transportation to the hotel very bad, I advise you to take a taxi meter.
Restaurant Tip : Down in the village there are a lot of restaurants where you can eat better paying a third of what they ask in the resort's restaurant.

Cool and undisturbed, everything necessary for a pleasant holiday is at hand. Far from the bath, about 1 km, there are free carriage. Small range of stores.
