New hotel and clean. Breakfast is not bad, about 10 min walking to the patong beach. Free Internet surfing on the hotel lobby with computer provided.

A very nice hotel with very reasonable priced, overall a very nice staying experience.You should try swiming in their swiming pool on the top floor overseeing the beach..
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
You can consider renting a car in phuket, since the taxi alone to the beach will cost you likely about 700 batt, while the car rental only cost you like 800 batt a day.

when i arrived to the hotel i got 2 rooms with smell of cigarette even that i asked for a non smoking rooms - they told me there is no separate between smoking and non.
i asked for another blanket and they told me that not sure if they got the key for cleaners room

The staff may look unfriendly, but they do try to solve my problem whenever I asked.

since we booked this hotel from agoda, we could just settle with what we've paid, but we opted for another nearest hotel Merisson Inn with more spacious n nice interior room. But the breakfast in aspery is great!
Restaurant Tip:
for muslim reastaurants, ask for mosque from tuk-tuks or any taxi driver, and around the mosque u can find several halal restaurants. give a try at Gaddafi restaurant!superb fusion of thai and arabs food

very good value for money. the Aspery has everything you would need: free wifi and free computer cluster (6 computers, internet only worked on 4), adjoining restaurant, 2 free bottles of water per day, safe, LCD TV etc. At the end of my three day stay, I was comfortable enough with the hotel to stay another 2 days. Unfortunately, they were all booked in the main hotel, but they had an apartment style building thirty feet down the road that the hotel also used. Everything was the same (same decoration, same amenities etc.) except the new place did not have an elevator, but it had a kitchen. I definitely recommend staying in the Aspery to others. It is a 4 minute walk to the beach, a 3 minute walk to a laundry service, a ~1 minute walk to a convenience store, a 15 minute walk to bangla road & junceylon (the central mall). I would also recommend visiting Patong for some time as access to the tours (Phi Phi, Phang Nga, etc.) are the cheapest. Don't book with the hotel though.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Don't book tours with the hotel. They are too expensive. If you go on tours with a Thai company, you can take a speedboat tour to Phi Phi or Phang Nga for 1000 baht, so try not to pay more. We used Siam Sea Canoe for Phi Phi and Amazing Canoe for Phang Nga. Both were very good, Amazing was a little better

Just less than 5 mins to the beach and less than 5 mins too to reach the happening streets.
The hotel staff are very nice and friendly.
They provided free WIFI if you have laptop but if you did not, then you may go down to lobby for the desktop.
They provided desktop for the internet access for free.
The room is neat and clean.
The have swimming pool at the roof top.
Nightlife Tip:
There is the Irish pub near by the hotel which it good to have a drinks over there. They have a live band.

We do not want to pay a lot for a hotel which we would not spend much time in, so Aspery was our choice. Although it was a bit pricier (by 200B at the time of booking) it was definitely cleaner and offered better choices when it comes to breakfast. Beach is just 5 mins walking distance and Bangla Road is just around 10-15 mins walk. It was far enough to escape the noise and commotion but close enough not to miss anything.
Restaurant Tip:
to find halal food, just walk about 10-15mins towards the mosque. there are a few choices of restaurants around.

Aspery Hotel

We stayed at a Deluxe Room which is quite spacious and comes with a bathtub. It was really cheap during the low season. Breakfast selection is disappointing and one morning there was just chicken made in 3 different ways, deep fried, stir fried with vegetables and stir fried with noodles. I wished they had taken a little more care with the variety. Also, we rented a car and found it hard to find a place to park. Having said the above, overall the stay is still quite pleasant and cheap.

The Hotel is very near to Patong beach, food stalls, shopping district (within 10min walking distance), etc... The breakfast choices is limited, taste just ok and the swimming pool is small but it's ok for the price offer. Have a small balcony to dry up clothes, overall, its a good stay at Aspery Hotel.
