At Phuket is located on the 2nd Road about 10 minutes' walk from Jungceylon Mall and 7 minutes from the beach. The staff are lovely and the rooms are small but comfortable. There's only one negative thing to say about the place--the wifi doesn't work.

I've stayed here 4 times now, and I can confidently say the wifi works about 10% of the time. If you need to be on the internet a lot, find a different hotel. If you don't, At Phuket is great. They've got a restaurant downstairs, tour booking, nice rooms, hot water, wonderful staff. Just terrible internet.

At (@) Phuket is my new Patong hotel of choice, having stayed in literally 50 hotels in Patong. It's on the 2nd road (southbound road) 2 long blocks north of Bangla Rd. It's a 10-15 minute walk to Bangla, and a 7 minute walk to the beach. The staff are amazing and the rooms, though small, are nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. Hot water dissipates as the day goes on so if you want a hot shower, get up early. Also there's a restaurant on the ground floor that's very noisy so try to get a room above the 2nd floor (rooms 5 and over).

internet did not work...very frustrating

The room was lovely but the internet didn't work. I kept trying to log in with both my netbook and my iphone, my boyfriend tried with his too. I told the front desk it wasn't working and she told me to try it outside my room (even though I booked this room because it said it had free wifi in the room). We both tried using it even in the lobby and it wouldn't work. The front desk worker wouldn't help with this at all. Also the window in our room would not lock or properly close all the way so it was incredibly noisy at night and hard to sleep. But the room was super nice other then those two things.
