Avantika Boutique Hotel Phuket Info
Situated right at the end of Patong beach, this hotel offers a bit of a reprieve from the crowds that normally storm the area. The Avantika Boutique prides itself on its refined attitude and has 31 rooms, each with a view of Patong and the Andaman Sea. From the moment you’re picked up at the airport until the time you’re ready to check out, the staff is always helpful and eager to please. But ultimately the Avantika is all about location. The combination of peace and quiet just five minutes from all the action is the top reason to consider a stay at this hotel.

great rooms,peacfull and great service
The hotel has a unique stylish design. The hotel stuff is very helpful and firendly. Breakfast is great. In our opinion there are better beaches in phuket such as kata or surin to stay in..
note that we found patong beach filthy, which made us to spend time and money going to other beaches in phuket.

pay for wireless internet
boring breakfast
uncovered walkway to breakfast
sign out for umbrella and beach towels
I found it demeaning to have to sign out and then sign back in for the hotel umbrella every time I wanted to use one. ditto the beach towels. every hotel I have stayed at in Thailand have these items in your room and as happens sometimes if you lose an item you pay for it upon checkout.the staff were wonderful but you dont always want to engage in conversation x 3++++ over borrowing and returning something. This may sound petty but its Thailand and rained 80% of my holiday.
Breakfast was boring, eggs, eggs and more eggs, there were also cornflakes and fruit platter available.I had out of my 10 day stay at the avantika 2 free days but was required to pay for breakfast on free nights this worked out at $15 each day for 2 boiled eggs and a glass of water.
There is no covered walkway to the dining room,so back to umbrella problem and getting wet.
I needed to use my laptop and found it annoying to have to go to staff each day to purchase internet time, most 3*** hotels now offer free wireless access.
I initially had booked a pool access room, but my first day there I found the pool access dangerous, you needed to climb through the plants and the steps to the pool were unsecured and invisible due to the plants.I stepped on one of these pavers which gave away and slipped and hurt my ankle. The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful and moved me to another room upstairs.
Go next door and stay at the Seaview hotel, its cheaper, has the best buffer breakfast in Thailand, and as well as freedom with umbrella/beach towels, also has a lovely beach bag to use and the pools are wonderful. No free internet thought. But better value for your $$$$
Travel tip : across the road from the beach, away from the noise and crowds but 10 minute walk to everything. 7/11 shop close by.

Only 31 rooms, therefore small and friendly and at the quiet end of the beach.
Pool access not great, but our room better than some.
After staying at Ban Thai in the heart of Patong, a couple of times before, we decided on a smaller hotel this time, which was perfect! The staff were very friendly and obliging in every way and the room very comfortable. Although we prefer pool access, we might opt for a sea view next time, a lighter room, and as you have to walk right around to the lounges opposite your room, doesn't make much difference being poolside. Although the walk a little further to the hub, the plus side was the quietness of the beach and proximity, just over the road, no long trek from the hotel itself. All in all a lovely quiet (low season) 6 night stay which we thoroughly enjoyed. The pool area would not be large enough for the high season, but for this time of year, it was great, we had it to ourselves most of the time!!!
Restaurant Tip : We enjoyed watching our pizzas being made at The Pizzeria in one of the sois, those guys really work for their money in that heat!! Delicious!
