Wonderful location,walking distance to all exciting sites of Phuket. We chose Avantika because its a small boutique hotel with few rooms,facing the famous Patong Beach,but just a little away from the noise and crowd of the Bars,nightclubs and shopping areas.Rooms were clean and spacious.Staff very friendly.Its wonderful for couples.It has a nice little pool and free breakfast that was simple,but sufficient.The view of the sunset in the evening is breathtaking.I would certainly return to Avantika whenever i am in Phuket.

Beach is right across the hotel. Commendable comfortable and clean room coupled with nice attached bathroom with bathtub. Away from the bustling main commercialised area of Patong. Good to chill out. Distance to phuket town is 30-40 mins and taxis / tuk-tuks are a little bit rip-off.. staff at the hotel are friendly and make you feel at ease. they can understand and speak simple english. however, the beach in front of the hotel is not as pretty as the beaches in phi phi island and at karon - kata area. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay at Avantika and the american breakfast served was quite nice with fruit platter and juice throw in as well.

great location, a little away from all the hustle of the beach, but only a few minutes walk. the beach is right across the street. the was very friendly and efficient. The restuarant was good really no complaints with the hotel. its not a 5 star but is very good for the price i was very pleased with the hotel. the room was clean and comfortable. the staff very good. the location was good, located at the south end of the beach, but only a couple minutes walk to the clubs and shopping. i would probably stay there again on my next trip to phuket

Away from the noisy main drag yet within short walking distance. Friendly and knowledgable staff. Very clean room. Nothing much except that it lack facilities usually found in bigger hotels. But not to forget this is a boutique hotel. Avantika is tugged away near the end of Patong beach while still within a couple minutes walk away from the main spotlights. The seaview room we had was simply fantastic; nicely decorated true resort style, with a small balcony and a full height window with raised platform. The F&B serves decent meals however I prefer to venture out to the main drag where varieties abound.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : As you are aware, taxis can be found everywhere along Patong beach. A one-way trip from Patong Beach to Jungceylon (Main shopping centre) don't cost more than THB200. A private day trip for 2 person cost between THB800 - THB1200 (depending on number of locations and distance).
Always remember to bargain unless you prefer to just pay 'tourist' price. :)

Nice hotel. Good location. Service-minded staff. The hotel is located on Patong beach so it's very convenient to go everywhere. And we love to wake up in the morning to see the blue sea from our room. There aren't too many staffs but they are ready to help. Parking area is too small to park our rented car. We have to park it in front of the lobby. Swimming pool is closed by 8pm.
Travel tip : Use airport limo to transfer you to the hotel. It's cheaper than local taxi.

Great location, super nice staff, great rooms. 2 of my rooms reeked of mildew/mold. Have to pay for Wifi. First the love. As I was driving in the mini bus around Patong thinking, "Wow, this is every bit as loud and annoying as people warned me," we turned right at the south end of beach road (which is one-way, by the way) and headed almost to the end of the bay at the very south of Patong beach. Suddenly there were almost no people, no traffic and the beach just seemed nicer (the north and south ends of Patong Beach are the places to hang if you like relative quiet). So Avantika gets an A+ for location. And if you want to hit the bars (which I do), it's easy to get around in Patong. Personally, I just rented a scooter. The hotels charge 300B a day or more, but you can get it for less from the guys on the street.
The staff are SUPER nice and speak great English. A+ there, too. They showed me to my room and I was really blown away. The rooms are designed so that the bathroom shutters can be opened onto the living room so that you can have full view of the beach while you're showering or just contemplating life on the toilet, as one does. And by one, I mean me. They even have this VERY cool alcove with Thai style mats so you could sit with your significant other and have a drink overlooking the beach in air conditioned comfort. Lots of darkwood. And a great walk in shower. A+ on room layout and design.
Then came the smell. Must. Mold. Mildew. And believe me, I know that smell. I live in Japan – the most humid country on earth. And if you get mildew in your futon, coat, tatami or anywhere, it's there forever. The smell very quickly became almost sickening, so I told the staff to check it out. They agreed that it stunk, particularly when I got them to get close to the mattress. Yup, their wrinkled noses gave it away. The bed mattress needs to be changed big time. I was moved to another, equally gorgeous room on the second floor. The smell was there, too, but was bearable given the love I had for the room in general. So D- for smell. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Be sure to rent a scooter and go waaaay north up to Kamala Beach and waaaaay south to Kata Beach. Both of these beaches and the ones on the way are really nice, clean and quiet. And there are restaurants on the hills on either side of Patong looking down onto the bay that have phenomenal views.
Also, as usual, this was a working vacation. If you need free WiFi, find the Coffee World at the far north end of Beach Road. Or ask at the restaurants right on the beach, center-north off Beach Road. And every night you get a great sunset to book.

Hotel is right on Patong Beach - just 3-4min walk from the busy bustling areas. Breakfast and food in restaurant excellent. Staff first class. Rooms great size, fab seating area by the window overlooking the beach. Balcony's are small and not really big enough to sit on. Not a big flaw however, the seating area in the room overlooks the beach and is like an indoor balcony! Fab hotel! It is right on Patong Beach just 3-4 min walk away from the busy restaurants and bars. Very clean, room was immaculate. All rooms over look the beach. Hotel staff were brilliant, anything we phoned down and asked for was delivered to our door within 5 mins (an ironing board / champagne glasses / ice, etc). Breakfast in Avantika Restaurant was one of the best we have had, choice of 4 different breakfasts - each with so much food we could barely eat it all! First class!!!! We were treated like royalty! We went there for our 1st wedding anniversary and sooo very glad we did! :) Would definitely return to this hotel!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you're going to Phuket for the first time, look for guys on the strip of Patong Beach selling trips / excursions, etc and barter for lower prices. Some will go lower than others. Elephant rides are brilliant (about 20min cab ride from Patong Beach), speedboat trip to Phi Phi Island also fab - but make sure you take plenty of suncream and towels / sarong to cover-up with, the sun is very hot and we got quite burnt.

Nice size room, good ocean view, well-appointed bathroom with shower and tub, nice pool. I had never been to Phuket and wanted to see famous Patong Beach. Can't say it's exactly my cuppa although it was fun to see. Lucky for me, the hotel was on the quiet end of the strip. The staff was terrific--even after we checked out they offered us a shower after we had wandered around in the heat and were waiting for our ride. If I stayed in Patong again, I'd stay here, but I like the less crowded beaches better.
Travel tip : Just down the street is a massage place that gave a great foot massage for a lot less than the hotel charges.

I have been coming to this part of Thailand for about EIGHT years now. I have stayed at many hotels in the Ao Nang area. It will take a lot to beat this one as the staff are so friendly and helpful. A very clean and comgfortable stay. A generator as power is out one whole day. However this gave me a chance to check out the pool from my pool access room. The power outage was all thru Ao Nang. Review what you offer on Cable. As stated already I have been coming to this part of Thailand for EIGHT year now. It certainly is a haven away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The staff are so friendly and nothing is a problem
Travel tip : Try an ice coffee or ice Tea by the pool. The ice tea should be served with a lime squeezed freshly into tea.

Small Hotel
Great Staff and Good Service Balconies only on 3rd Floor. Back needs garden or something around plumbing. If you like to be in a small hotel only about 30 rooms, right on the beach in Patong this is for you. The ground level rooms look out onto the pool but not seaview. You will have to ask for 1/2/3 for that but be aware only the 3rd has balconies. The staff are really nice and helpful. Rooms are large, modern clean and comfortable with all facilities. We only like rooms with balconies and the 3rd floor is the only one with them. These were not in our budget but we were luckily upgraded as they were full. The hotel is situated at the quiet end of Patong, easy walk to shopping but just far enough away to not hear it. Just across the road from beach. Breakfast is not buffet but rarely is at small hotels. The resturant serves great coffee and the staff bring you complimentary ice cold water if you lay around the pool without asking. Seemingly no rules. Internet is handy just inside reception and at resonable price. Local supermarket, tour agent and clothes wash drop are right next door.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If low season or evening before you want to go on tour. Say Pi Pi island boat tour. Ask if they ring to see what best price is for next day. Usually you will get cheaper if not full.

sehr ruhige lage, mit meerblick,rasch ins zentrum ein stylish eingerichtetes hotel mit liebe zum detail,
grosser balkon mit meerblick,separate dusche und badewanne offen zum zimmer, schöne holzmöbel, sauber und gemütlich,
leider kein bueffet zum frühstück,
der pool sauber und mit schönen sitzgelegenheiten,
ich habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt, vorallem weil das personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit war,

Lovely boutique hotel ,nicely furnished good location ,quiet , The Avantika was a very nice boutique hotel ,nice large room wirh modern decor,Lrge room with large bathroom .Gret location ,only a quick stroll into the centre of Patong ,great sea views .The restaurant was nicely located allowing beach views and was quiet most of the time.I ahd a very nice time and would happily stay again .
Travel tip : good location 5 minsfrom the centre of Patong so you are away from the hustle but close enough to be in quickly
